It's sad, 'cuz I would have been happier with voyager versions of either, and they probably would have been better quality for it (less hollow, etc.)

But its pretty obvious that Hasbro is gun ho on preserving the G1 look to toys and that it would be their basis for Trypticon, with some updates to him. It's not hard to imaging how it would look like and I dont realy need a robot that just turns into a base/platform. My G1 Tryp does that just fine. However, the idea of a Giant Meahnical T-Rex is appealing, I will not lie. But then again if we need giant dinosaurs who turn to bases we do already have this...

If 'getting toys in other lines' is some kind of benchmark for going to the back of the line for Titans Return, then Scorponok and Omega should go to the back right now and make room for Trypticon.

Omega Supreme has had numerous re-doings (including that weird train thingy he turns into). Scorponok had toys in Beast Wars, in Movie1, in Movie2, he had that non-transforming giant 3rd party figure, he's been around recently quite a lot.

Trypticon having that one figure which was nothing like him hardly counts, I think. Still, I hope it's wrong that Hasbro would just repaint the Rescue Bots Optimus dinosaur, or make yet another repaint of 'chomp & stomp' Grimlock with Trypticon colors. Trypticon needs a full re-do, and to hopefully be taller than Metroplex with more spread as a city/base. After all, G1 Trypticon was bigger than Metroplex.

I will willingly give up the 'electronic walking' gimmick in favor of a more intricate transformation, more pose ability and quality engineering.

Incidentally, when does the vote actually START? It's Tuesday, I'm at Facebook, I'm ON the 'official' Transformers page, but I see no sign of where the voting is to be done. They still just have the 3 propaganda pages for each candidate. If number of comments is any indication as to who might win, then it looks like Trypticon has a sizable lead over Omega, and Scorponok, or so I hope. I guess it's clear which side I'm on, but then I had a G1 Trypticon in my youth....

Same here. Also, Omega is a character I actually care about. I also think he would be the hardest for Hasten to go the cheap and crappy route on.

I'm torn. I've always wanted an Omega Supreme and I've always wanted a Trypticon. I've never had either. I have the Unicron Trilogy Scorponok, but it's showing a lot of wear and tear and needs to be retired.
So, do I go with the ones I've never owned but have wanted since their G1 versions were out? If so, which one do I vote for? However, with a Titan class Fortress Maximus coming out (that I'm hoping to get!) I almost NEED a Titan class Scorponok to offset him.
Tough choice here Hasbro. Tough choice.

To be fair, metroplex was just sitting in both modes, so there was really no impetus to change anything as it was overtly easy already, devs is another story though

I can't help wondering if Hasbro et. al., have already made up their minds, and this whole 'voting' thing is a sham. It's not unusual for companies to provide a 'choice' without really giving them a choice. Hasbro may well have their pick already lined up and engineered.

More likely they have all three projects open, and are using this vote to determine the order of release, as I imagine that all three will be getting produced over the next several years.

I agree - this all makes sense, since the 3 choices are the arch nemeses of the 3 titans we've already gotten / will be getting.
