You're right; the amount of xp will not affect gameplay (a 20k bot with 2 courage will act identically to a 200K bot with 2 courage).

however second place has half your score, and only a 10th of your setup cost, if 1 speed is good enough to score half as much as 1crg/3fp, and a €50K weapon, whose got the more efficient setup? it would be like me boasting i doubled the score of a 200K bot...

Alright, I think we are all missing the point here. There are NO battle blades available. There are NO Dol laser rifles available. There are NO poisonous paralyzer fluids available. There are no x-ray lasers available.Those are are all the best weapons for low points. Probably designed to give lvl 0 and lvl1 players a slight edge. How many lvl 4,5 and up are still using these just because they don't want to have to increase their FP and Skill. I bet alot. All these guys new to this game come in and get WASTED by people playing long enough to have obtained them only to covet them like the grail for their devastation and relative cheapness of use. It took me forever of getting trashed and reseting my stats before I found something that worked o.k. for my character. It works for me. It might work for somebody else. Oh, and just so you know, when I do level my monster with the cannon I am gonna get him the rocket launcher. Seems like a fun weapon that not too many people use.

Personally i'd drop the Electric cannon and firepower down to 2 grab a DBPSS put the xp into skill unlock the tactic i believe it only needs 1 to unlock then put in the base amount to take you to level 1 then you'll be getting more xp and energon for your team. Electric cannons are not only expensive but inaccurate weapons i know from bitter experience and lots of different set ups with Iontrail

good luck with that, really it's one of the worst weapons available, sure its cheapest weapon for it's damage, and the second cheapest on stats, but of the known weapon recharge times it comes in at a whopping 2 minutes making it the slowest weapon confirmed so far.

and my point was that going to level 1 with an electron cannon is not going to work, and that for the price you pay in energon and xp for it you can get a much better weapon for a little more of an outlay. for just a little more you can get a faster more damaging weapon....

and i'm fairly sure i said i had 3 x-rays for sale if any decepticons want them

being a level 4/5 player i rarely see dols, PPFs or Xrays in combat, mainly it's blades or fists...both of which are incredibly broken, and really the only weapon that can compete is the Gatling gun, but being as that costs 1.5million xp to equip few level 4s can afford that and have enough speed/strength/courage to effectively fight with it.

Edit: to phaze, I agree the DBPSS rules. However all weapons have the same accuracy.

Thanks for the info on the rocket launcher. I have the plasma shotgun equipped on one of my characters, and I gotta say, I still think I do more damage with the electric cannon, and the recharge seems to be very similar. Like I said my setup works for me. I may not win every battle or come out on top every time but I do get lots of xp considering the damage it does.
And if I find out it doesn't work at lvl 1 I'll reconfigure my stats. I'm looking at more courage and more speed to start it, and then some strength.

oh the cannon does more damage, but the shot gun is twice as fast.

i'd switch the courage and strength round for entering level 1, courage is important but its a single purpose stat (makes you attack more) and speed can kinda make up for that, strength will increase damage dealt, and allow you to wear armour, giving you more longevity.

EDIT: touche Bun Bun, as per usual you're are most correct. it is the slowest weapon bar the UWSTACs which have a 2 minute recharge time, the correct Recharge time for the RL is 1minute and 59 seconds.

While the strength might be the way to go, the mere mention of wearing the 0 rank armor is preposterous. The iron armor is like wearing wet tissue paper. I've tried as high as 3 strength and 3 tons of iron armor and it didn't seem to do anything where as I did notice a considerable difference in equipping one point of ceramic armor.

i swear i'm having some sort of dyslexic moment, the table says DATAMLs, but i read it as UWSTACs.... freudian slip perhaps

iron armour doesn't hurt, granted ceramic is better and is my armour of choice, Iron isn't that worthless, at only a k or so a tonne; granted 3 tonnes of either isn't going to have much of an effect.

I have a couple of guys with electric cannons and they seem to do okay, but they also have quite high speed for their level (5 at levels 1 and 2 respectively). Ah well.

Anyhoo, I recently raised my resident battle station's firepower stat to 4 to make strafing a bit more effective, and figured I might as well give the rocket launcher a go since it's fairly cheap and destructive. Sure enough it's a fine weapon, but it seems to have a reload time of about two minutes! Not too hot in a firefight that only lasts about eight. My battle station's courge and speed are both at 3 so they shouldn't have much to do with the delay as other similarly specced characters reload and fire again a lot faster. Is the rocket launcher's reload time really that long or am I missing something obvious?

Hello, welcome to the beginning of page 3

I know I'm being anal about this but it is the second longest confirmed recharge time.

There are other weapons with the potential to have longer recharges, but only time will tell.

So I know how you guys feel about the electric cannon and thr rocket launcher, what's the deal on the direct current electric laser? Is this a battle worthy weapon or is it another shot in the dark?
