Know what made this game at the height of it's popularity? The community and those working behind the scenes to keep the game moving forward. There was a core group of people both with and without titles who were helping this game to grow.

That's why I really hope whoever it is comes forward soon and starts talking to some of us. I really REALLY don't want to see another game developed based on one person's ideas. Been there, done that.

kinda sad, but here's an excerpt from that wiki page ya posted,....it's the definition of thumb twiddling,...and it relates to HMW2 more that I originally realized haha.

This is great even better than a Slinky or Silly Putty. I've been doing it for hours! Why has no one ever told me about this before. You don't have to fetch it and you can never lose it. When one thumb goes around the back the next one comes up front. THIS IS GREAT! ..... mumbles off while staring at thumbs circling.

i understand your point, the game was best when it implemented ideas developed through group discussion, but the plus side in not knowing who it is is that this new programmer won't have the distractions of having everyone's two cents thrown their way. So hopefully the new game won't take as long to develop and it'll just pop up on the site one day as a very pleasant surprise. after it's release, then we can all throw our ideas in to try to make it better.

It's sad that OS is gone. Also sad that, for now, HMW 2 is out. I was kind of waffling around waiting for it after the reset.

Do we have anyone else in line for a programmer? (I haven't had the chance to go through the posts in this thread yet, so forgive me if I'm going over old crap.)

Maybe we should let Kittie Rose back on the boards. The whole game would be making a mundane point about some footnote in TF lore and then having to argue her into a corner about it.

What's nuttier than bringing a thread back on track or Burn? That's like asking what's more evil than the devil and more good than god. nothing would be the answer.
