Since I haven't played HMW in a long time I saw a few new things on HMW. I just started playing again and noticed 1 special mission (which was full btw) and Kremzeek. Could anyone fill me in on this?

Kremzeek counts as a weapon. There's none left at the moment, but they're available on the weapons roster.

I think there have been a few special missions - Psychout posted a thread about a mission where Autobots and Decepticons fought together against the Quintessons. I don't know how frequent they are, though, I haven't spotted any myself.

The special missions (I assume you mean the Quintesson ones, yeah?) are sort of testing out the NPC's for V2. Bots and 'Cons actually team up to fight a squad of level 6 Sharkticons. Rumor has it that we'll actually get other Quintessonian species to fight later on. Here's an example of one.

As for Kremzeek, he's a weapon. A highly unstable one, mind, but he's definitely made the missions fun since he was added to the game. I hear he makes good Energon curry, too.

Thanks man. But what is there so special about these special missions? I saw the Con/Bot vs Quints a few minutes ago, but what is there so special about it except from the fact that bots and cons work together?

With the arrival of V2 and the Resetcalypse, Omega Sentinel (the new programmer, if you were out for a longer time)is experimenting with the ideas for V2.

One of the experiments are the special effects of weapons, like paralysing, thievery, random strafe, blowing up, healing effects, ... So, Kremzeek is the new weapons experiment (I hope we will see the little bugger itself in V2)

The special missions is the other experiment, with additional game texts to the winning side. As OS said, There will be bigger and badder quintessons to come.

I actually mean every special mission, but the only one I encountered was the Quintession one. And what's so special about these missions? Do you get extra xp or energon? Or is there something else?

Btw... NPC's? What are those?

Non-Player Characters. Purely computer-played robots (You can call them Vehicons, if you like)

Word is, there will be the Followers of Unicron as NPCs also.

At the moment, the only special missions are the Quintesson missions. The Sharkticons are NPcs, meaning Non-Player Characters. No one plays as the Quintessons in these missions, they're generated as a script based on a team entry OS created, so they don't keep XP or Energon they might make. Also, the text of the mission results changes beyond simply "The [Insert faction] have won this mission", with one of several random bits of "information" if the Cybertronians (ie. Bots and Cons) win the mission. The Intel gathered basically hints at what's to come in the future.

Don't put too much weight into what you see on the Quintesson team and bio pages. I haven't really done anything with them yet.

I guessed it was only a work in progress. I just cited it as a hint of what may be to come...

V2's gonna be fun...

The energon curry's good stuff. Gives me terrible wind though
