I'm watching it right now :D

I watched it for a few minutes, but there are errors in it: the Millenium Falcon (or we can call it Stellar Envoy) is featured in the 3rd episode for a brief moment on Coruscant.

Star wars don't really suck.
It's just that some people are overly obsessed with it which doesn't seem right.

Some people are equally obsessed with things that are far less healthy to obsess over, like body image and weight. So let them be over enthused with an indie flick that went colossal. Look at the Jay & Silent Bob collection
Grails:
Bots: G1 Bumblebee; Balance of Aerialbots(I have Air Raid)
parts: Overload's arms. Wanted badly

The guy may have been a legend in creating Star Wars, but he can't write for ****.

All hail Timothy Zahn!

YES, A thousand times over! Zahn is definitely the lord and master of the Star Wars EU. Lucas should have consulted with him and Kevin Anderson before doing the prequel films. They would certainly have turned out a hell of a lot better than what they did.

I didn't make it through all the previous 10 pages of posts but I have to say that I'm quite amused by what I've read. I was a SW fan long before being a TF fan (yes, I remember seeing the original in the theaters way back in 1977) and it's pretty easy for me to spot which ones of you posting are closer to my age and which ones are the "youngsters".
I had originally planned on getting all defensive over some of the comments but really all I can do is laugh. Everyone here is different and everyone sees different things throughout a given story and has their own way of interpreting stuff. I do have to say that blatantly titling a thread "Star Wars Sucks" is rather fool-hardy and does nothing but make oneself look narrow-minded. Things are neither bad nor good just because you say so. I happen to totally dislike 90% of what I've seen of the DotM toyline but that doesn't mean the line sucks, it just means it's not right FOR ME and therefore I won't spend my money on it. Everyone else can do as they please and either support the line or not. Same with the Star Wars franchise. A number of new EU books are coming out this year and all the money I save by not buying DotM toys will instead go towards Star Wars novels.

2. Lightsabers are mag lights with no modification to them.
3. It has been milked to death in terms of merchandising and crappy tie in TV shows.
4. the acting is terrible.
5. It was promoted on the basis of new technology (specifically 5:1 sound)

and many other points

1. The story isn't as deep as it is expansive. Star Wars is all about the scale, the cast, and the mythos. An entire galaxy of players, soldiers, leaders, politicians, civilians, men, women, children, clones, sentient machines. It's the very opposite of lackluster, it's incredibly robust.
2. Lightsabers are just another kind of sword, albeit more awesome. Replace it with just about any other weapon that does the same thing, Dungeons and Dragons Flame saber, Optimus Primes Energon Axe, there's lots of examples.
3. Uh, yeah. It's a franchise. It hasn't done anything that EVERYONE hasn't done as well. Star Wars has the new Clone Wars cartoon. Transformers had animated...*shudders*
4. No...Hayden Christensons acting is terrible, and Natalie Portman did the best with what she had. As far as the rest of the cast, both trilogy, it was awesome acting. If you want BAD acting, I can get examples.
5. Most sci-fi movies are. Star Wars has pushed the envelope with CGI and digital filming. James Camerons Avatar pushed...just about everything, motion capture, 3D graphics and filming, high fidelity CGI, Bay's Transformers movies have really pushed the detail of modeling with their models of the TransFoermers. The boundries exist to be pushed.

I know, a little late to the game, but hey, first post in over 3 years!
