Seibertron wrote:Upscaled and downscaled imply that the toy is the same or very similar such as upscaled Beast Hunters deluxes from Legions. There are way too many differences with this unreleased Voyager Starscream to be stated as an upscaled Legends Starscream.

I don't think you should judge 3rd Parties based on BTS' example. They've always been on say, well... let's just say the lower tier.

Never cared bought any of those simplified Transformers FAB movie toys. Wouldn't have bought any of the G1 FAB toys if they made them in 2011.

Caelus wrote:My wife pointed out something interesting about the prehistoric Predacons. I said that everyone was complaining because transforming for them mostly consisted of them just standing up-right. She essentially said, 'So? That's what our ancestors did.'

Edit: Weirdly, this didn't post for a long while so it's incredibly out of context.
Yeah, "Upscaled" and "Downscaled" are a bit of a misnomer. All Hasbro did was reuse the general transformation and bits of the general design, and apply it to a figure of a different size (either larger or smaller). Do we have a word for that?
PadForce wrote:Guys - do you have any thoughts on the likelyhood of us eventually receiving an MP Devastator?
I want one for sure, and would prefer an official MP.. but if that isnt likely to happen I need to seriously consider my options.

I'd settle for non-combining Animated Constructicons.
Product Description
Unsurpassed in ego or ambition, Starscream is the scheming second-in-command to Megatron. His all-consuming hunger for absolute power overcomes what little reason there is in him, driving him to adopt ever more vile plots in his quest to unseat Megatron as leader of the Decepticons. With his trademark null-ray cannons and a vast array of secondary weapons, Starscream is second only to Megatron and Optimus Prime in power.
Autobots beware, because the ultimate Decepticon air commander is on the hunt for someone to fight! He converts from robot mode to high-speed jet mode, and in either mode he's ready for major combat with his mortal enemies. His shoulder missile launchers leap out when he gets an Autobot in his sights, and with a missile for each one, he's always armed! i have the original grey green starscream mp, broke a null ray too so think is very tempting esp as it's the updated version of the mould. The original was fiddly and delicate in comparison with the newer mp figures... so makes me wonder what could the designers come up with now with the experience they've amassed since the original release. Though then again it would be better they focus on non tackled characters...

I wouldnt mind having this guy on my coffee table to replace the old version with the stupid sword hips. I skipped acid storm and sunstorm because hasbro butchered their paintjobs. But I might pick this guy up and hope TRU sees $$$ and does skywarp next.
