Va'al wrote:According to a number on online sources, including regular and trustworthy retailers Loopaza Mega Store on Facebook, we have what seems to be potential news of a new release in the Takara Tomy Transformers Masterpiece toyline, in the form of a new redeco of the MP-39 mold (Sunstreaker).
The new figure, as listed for an August release, would be MP-42 Cordon / Countach, which many are speculating is the Diaclone version of the recent Sunstreaker figure, as the White Police version of the character, the Lamborghini Countach LP500S "Super Tuning". We have no confirmation a yet, but do join the speculation in the Energon Pub discussion boards!Takaratomy Transformers
We have receive information regarding the Takaratomy Transformers Release Schedule on coming August.
Nothing really surprise on the Power of the Primes toyline as they will join the US release. The most interesting one will be the MP-42, the Japanese named: "Cordon" which is nothing named like this in past Transformers. Rumor do notice this is possible the Diaclone version of the White Color Police ver. Sun Streaker. In terms of the price range, that might be true

What they are I couldn't say, but I hope it's a head or two!Emerje wrote:Nobody is going to mention that 15,000jpy base price tag on the Sunstreaker repaint? Regular Streaker had a 12,000jpy base price so what are they including that's worth 3,000jpy?![]()

So, not sure why this occurred to me, but I looked up the definition of "cordon". I thought maybe it was just a name, but....
cor·don
ˈkôrdn/Submit
noun
1.
a line or circle of police, soldiers, or guards preventing access to or from an area or building.
"troops threw a cordon around the headquarters"
synonyms: barrier, line, row, chain, ring, circle; picket line
"a cordon of 500 police"
Not a word I use regularly, but now that I see it, SURE! I've heard that used in the appropriate context plenty of times.
My point? Solid clue pointing to it being the police type and not the red Diaclone.
Just thought I'd share.
Emerje wrote:So his name actually is Cordon, as in to "cordon off" something. Interesting since that's basically what a barricade is for.

I think this is most likely. MP-42 is clearly going to be a sammichAlphaBass wrote:Makes me think of Cordon, as in Cordon Bleu, as in it's getting to be lunch time and this car is making me hungry.

To note, there's already a G1 Barricade, who is nothing like the evil police car from the Movies:

Name reuses within G1 are few and far between, but still preferably avoided.
Though forced, it makes another creative entry in the G1 pantheon, wouldn't you say?
Yeah.... no. This isn't Generations.AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Plus, they are also leaving the door open for a retool of MP Mirage for this guy, further down the line.

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.
