ah but you are forgetting they have defend FROM 5 attack vectors too, they could possibly end up having to defend their capitol from the Bots, Maxs, Cons, AND Quints Simeltaneously.

Each faction will start out in the following territories. Any new characters that are created by yourself or noobs later in the game will have to be deployed to a friendly or neutral territory of your choice.


So does this mean that all 12 of our transformers will be active when not in CR? :-?

The territory each of your bots reside in is unrelated to whether they are Active/Available.

They will only need to be active when you are deploying your troops to a different territory.

I'm interested to see what territories can attack what other territories...assuming it's not just attack anywhere from anywhere.

also curious how attacking neutral territories will work w/ 4 factions...which one ends up being the defending faction...will it just be random, will we be able to specify a specific faction we wish to invade within the territory assuming that faction has at least 1 point in the territory...im assuming (at least hoping) that individual commanders will get to generate missions. i.e. when there is no mission available to join pick a territory and a faction to attack in that territory and bam the mission is created.

Yeah, whether adjacency is an issue will make a huge difference in the strategy of the map, so I'm very interested in how that'll work.

We can use that. The problem, however, is finding canon cities and locations. Cybertron is probably one of the most enigmatic things in Sci-fi. The map we have now was pieced together from comics, books and cartoon episodes. A few of them I had to just guess on their locations. The capitols are in the right spots and the starting points for the the factions are right but if we add anything else it would be alot of guesswork and I would need alot of help.

The way the deployment functions are set up, every new territory we add on the map would add exponential probabilities for troop movements so there is no way to expand the map before launch, but we can definitely expand it after the new game is up and running.

Next time I go by the comic shop, I'll check to see if they have the atlas/history book.

I found some pictures of different angles, but nothing that shows a full wrap arround. I did find another possibility, if someone can cut the peices of Cybertron from the planet maps for the different waves in the Cybertron toyline, that may work as well. I thought the sonic canyons were in the southern hemisphere, but I see no problem with them being where they are now. I am confident I can find enough images to piece together a map, however, making one look coherient and filling it with source locations may be the problem...
