Or was the saints defense really that bad??? I think part of it this time was the Saints defense. The receivers are really good, and they obviously do not have talent to cover all the weapons. Addai, Clark, Harrison, and Wayne all had very good games on the receiving end...sounds like a coverage issue, which many teams will have trouble with, I imagine.

agreed...I think Saints fans should be concerned. 26 hours until the season kicks into full gear.

Steelers vs. Browns today! Too bad the rivalry has really fizzled out. Cleveland still sucks though! :P

HAHAHAHA!!!! Four penalties and a dropped snap for a punt, after a three and out. Now that's a way for the Brownies to start!

I think Anderson just got sacked again!

Ahhh...been watching football now for 10 straight hours. Feels good to have the real thing back.

My Bears lost...honestly I kind of expected it, but the defense shut down LT better than any other team in his career. If only we could get some offense.

BTW Green Bay winning was the topper to my day...if the Bears lose, the very least that could happen was the Packers losing too...

Cleveland v Pittsburgh: Rothlesburger wasn't as impressive as his numbers. Oh, BTW I think they just sacked Anderson as he got out of his car at his house...

Dallas v NYG: Dallas defense presents some problems for the "boys I think. NYG "D" is playing like crap. By the way, does anyone know what the heck John Madden is talking about anymore?

How did Denver only beat buffalo by 1 point? For that matter how did Tennessee only beat Jacksonville by 3?

Detroit v Oakland: the league should be concerned about Detroit; they steamrolled one of the best defenses in the league. Fortunately, Detroit's defense has got to be near the bottom too.

Mark Bulger may be the most overrated QB in the NFL...aside from Michael Vick. Delhomme looked very good.

Patriots. Nuff said.

Think Atlanta is missing Vick and Schaub? Vikings young offense looks very good. Peterson is going to be a great player.

Seattle played like crap and still won by two touchdowns. I think Chucky will be looking for a new job come January.

Is Houston that good? Or is KC that bad?

Hey Miami! Trent Green will have you scoring 30 points a game! Did I say 30? I meant 13...my mistake.

Referee Ed Hockuli is just huge...dude's got guns.
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Anytime LT throws a td, its not really shutting him down, e's our new backup qb.

Well despite hating the Giants, I'm not too thrilled about the injuries.

Granted, we benefit by them losing them, but it still sucks they got hurt.

I think he would have been looking after last season if there were some good canidates to replace him. Meaning someone high profile.

As for the game it looked pretty good at first. Of course the same problem came up - can't get the touchdown. Had they been able to score those touchdowns I think the game may have been a bit different.

Hopefully they can play better against the Saints this weekend. Honestly tho I'm not holding my breathe, but hey a guy can hope can't he?

Yeah, I agree with that. I'd prefer it if we could've beaten Eli the entire time, but maybe he'll be better the next time around....

If I was Dallas I'd be worried. Eli and company picked apart the 'boys' defense pretty handily.

BTW everyone should send thoughts and prayers to Buffalo TE Kevin Everett after his horrific injury yesterday. Let us hope everything turns out okay for him.

Both defenses sucked. Without the injuries perhaps the outcome is different. I'll tip my hat to the Cowboys this time around. I hope Eli's injury isn't going to turn into something serious. Giants running game is in for a long season it looks.

Weapon: Dol-Laser Rifle
I have a dilemma. Last week I started Brady which turned out pretty darn well. I think he got me 55 or 59 points or so.

I have Brees and Rivers sitting on the bench. Now, Rivers is out of the question. I think he's too inexperienced to start against that New England defense.

Brady is a good choice but most people around town picked San Diego and Minnesota to have the sleeper defenses this year and I have to agree after week 1. The Superchargers D looked sharp last week.

And then I have Brees. NO plays TB in an away game. I don't find Seattle all that impressive but I have to give the Tampa secondary credit for destroying a lot of FFL hopes by shutting out Branch.

I know Brady is the safe pick and Rivers is the definite no-go, but Brees is a pretty attractive start this week over Brady and had he showed up to play against the Colts. His completions were there but two picks? Yikes. On the other hand I'm almost entirely certain NO will defeat TB with Cadillac's injuries. I just don't see Pittman being all that effective.

So yeah, Brady or Brees?
