The Chargers D looked good because they had to play against a questionable Bears offense that's suffering from not having a proven RB. Granted San Diego is a great defense, I would still pick Brady to start until Brees proves last year wasn't a one-year wonder thing. Brees also doesn't have the receivers to throw to that Brady does.
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Brees isn't a one year anything. Every year he had in SD was a good one.

I'd reckon the Saints receiving corps is superior to NE's. NE certainly has no one to match Colston and all of the other receivers are WR3s.

So you don't think Randy Moss compares to Colston? What about Wes Welker? Donte' Stallworth? Troy Brown? I think that's the best front four WR in the NFL.

I do agree with you that Brees did have one good year in San Diego. However, remember that, before his llast, best year in SD, he was on the verge of losing his starting job- which was why the Chargers drafted Philip Rivers...errr, Eli Manning...(which is the greatest draft day trade in NFL history BTW).
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Thats the second best draft day trade. Number one is the number one pick to atlanta 7 years ago. We get L.T. they get Vick. We all know how that one turned out in the end.

Stallworth has ham issues. Moss can't stay healthy for longer than five games since he left the Vikings. How can they be the four best? What about Colston? Megatron? Curry? Harrison? Wayne? Isaac? Muhammed? Smith? NE has average receivers with one having the potential to be a megastar again but he ain't there yet.

If you removed them from NE none of them would be as good as they are. The reason for that is Brady. He's just the most error free QB out there and one of the best decision makes. If I had to choose between Manning and Brady I'd choose Brady every single time without any hesitation.

The Browns traded Charlie Frye(sad to see him go) to Seattle and resigned Ken Dorsey(thank god).

I freaking hate Seattle.

Why couldn't they have traded him to a team I like

In the end I think this is good for both Charlie Frye and The Browns.

Gives Charlie a chance to start fresh somewhere else and gives The Browns a chance to see what Anderson(he did ok against the Steelers in my eyes), Dorsey and Quinn can do in the regular season.

And good news from the doctor, Everett's surgery went very well, and the doctor predicts he will walk again. That is fantastic.

I worked as an EMT for 6 years and saw several spinal injuries like those; I'm currently in nursing school and still see victims of spinal injuries. I know as a fact that Everett walking again IS a miracle. It's great news indeed. I can tell you though that the road back is going to be long and difficult; PT doesn't stand for "physical therapy" as most believe- it stands for "pain and torture". It is a hard, long, slow process...and therefore he still needs our support and prayers. But the news is still great :-)
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Ok...fact number 1: Randy Moss has missed 3 games in 2004 and 3 games in 2006. Other than six games he has played in every game since 1998. Fact 2: Moss is averaging 11 TDs a season for his career and 15.9 yds per catch, 70 catches and 1100 yards per season. Is Colston better:he didn't do that in ONE SEASON and couldn't play the whole year. Even Stallworth, with his "bad hammy", had better averages than COlston or any of NO other WR.

As for the best WR, I didn't mean to imply that the NE WR were better individually than the others in the NFL. What I meant is that their four top WR's are better than any other teams top four WRs...even Indianapolis. They are deeper at WR than any other team.

*Cough* Detroit *Cough*

Roy Williams, Calvin Johnson, Mike Furry (look for leaders in receptions last season, you'll see his name at the top), and Shaun McDonald...

Spread offense for Kitna! If the line holds and Tatum can bust a few yards, our air attack should pretty damn convincing. We'll see how things go at Minnesota this weekend.

Not good I hope. Minn - 27 Det -20. Minny defense has another week with a TD. A.P. another big rushing day.

Detroit is defeinitely up there, that's for sure. The only thing is two of them haven't proven a thing in the NFL yet. As for Kitna in the spread, it doesn't really work too well when you know they aren't running the football. Next year' the Lions should draft a RB. Besides, my Bears are going to totally pwn the Vikes and Lions both this year...well, the defense will anyways..LOL

Moss was a total and complete non-factor for his career in Oakland. He started this season as a WR3 on the verge being a WR2 if he could put together a solid performance for the first few games. Moss is absolutely not a WR1 in any single FFL on this side of Krypton until he proves he can put together an entire season to match what he did in Minnesota. Honestly, if you think Moss is some super star you don't play FFL at all. Burress is worth more than Moss. Curry is worth more than Moss. Colston is worth more than Moss. Megatron is worth more than Moss. Brandon Marshal is worth more than Moss. Isaac Bruce is worth more than Moss. Reggie Wayne is worth more than Moss. Antwan Randle El is worth more than Moss. Hines Ward is worth more than Moss. Ocho Cinco is worth more than Moss. You can't sit there and bestow megastar stud status on a washed up has been after a single game.

Is Colston better:he didn't do that in ONE SEASON and couldn't play the whole year. Even Stallworth, with his "bad hammy", had better averages than COlston or any of NO other WR.

It was also Colston's rookie season last year. Compare his rookie year to Stallworth's. Stallworth was absolutely mediocre and inferior to Colston in every single statistical category. Colston has almost twice as many receptions, twice the yardage, and twice the TDs. Stallworth isn't even a WR1 in any league. He's a late round WR choice and to be perfectly honest I wouldn't even start him in anything but a WR/TE flex position if I had drafted him.

Moss had a better rookie year with an extra 300 yards and twice as many TDs but he was actually good back then. Like I said, as far as I'm concerned he's nothing more than a Chris Brown at this point. Wow, he had one good game. This same logic should also easily convince you that Plaxico Burress will be the greatest wide out in the history of the NFL.

As for the best WR, I didn't mean to imply that the NE WR were better individually than the others in the NFL. What I meant is that their four top WR's are better than any other teams top four WRs...even Indianapolis. They are deeper at WR than any other team.

They might deeper but they are not superior to what Indy can put up with their two studs.

You bet he was. Because Oakland hasn't had a QB since George Blanda retired...WRs can't throw themselves the ball so they can't have great seasons if they can't get the ball. THe point is that NFL plans make sure they know exactly were Moss is at all times because he is a playmaker, even in his early 30's. He put up monster numbers in Minnesota because he had good, solid QBs throwing him the ball. He will put up monster numbers again with Brady throwing him the ball. He may not be a FFL pick, but that doesn't make him a bust. Two years without a QB don't make him a bust either. He's a great WR...just ask any D coach or sports writer.

Only on the Lions. I can't believe it came down to our kicker missing, then the Vikings kicker missing (both usually great kickers BTW), then our kicker having another shot and doing it.
