Am i the only one who is secretly pulling for the Houston Texans to have a great year?
Well, my Bears won. The defense was impressive again. Last year our weakness was that we had issues stopping the run. In our first two games we held LT to 57 years and LJ to 53 yards. The two top rushers in the NFL COMBINED for just over 100 yards against us in two games. I tell ya, if the offense gets going at all, the Bears will be very dangerous indeed.
Packers-Bears is in two weeks. I have a wheelchair with Brett Favre's name on it...

Steelers 2-0 to start off the Tomlin era. It'll be interesting to see how they do against some quality opposition.

I hope the Browns can play that well for the rest of the season

Alright guys we go into week three of the season. How are your teams doing thus far?
The Bucs really showed some life last week. If they can keep that rolling it could be promising for the season. They have some tough road games coming up but if they play like last week then they have a shot.
GO BUCS!!

Opening game the Browns sucked ass.
Then again, they were playing the Steelers.
Week 2 was probably the greatest Browns game in recent history.
It was fanfreakingtastic.
For the Jaguars, they lost the first week and won the second.
I only got to watch them play in preseason, so I can't really comment on the way they're looking.
My friend from Jacksonville said Garrard is doing a fine job.

I'm still rather confused about my Bears, but they did answer a few questions last week; Cedric Benson had a 100 yard game, which was very important. The defense may be better this year than last year, which is scary good. Grossman had a better game, but the O line is turning into a major concern. Oh yeah...we have Devon Hester and everyone else doesn't; seriously, how sick is this guy? He's played in 18 NFL games- 20 including the playoffs- and he has 10 return touchdowns. That's just insane...
Pittsburgh is also looking very impressive. I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do against New England and Indy in the future.
Oh yeah, if Houston wins this week, they will instantly become American's Darlings...I mean, who ISN'T pulling for them to do well? THey've been bad so long...and honestly, the city has great fans; they deserve a winner, and this year's Texans look like they may be just that. Good for them! I suspect everyone will be pulling for them soon...kinda like when the Cubs start winning and getting close to the playoffs; it's a secret vice of many that you pull for the underdog. Go Texans!
The Apocalypse draws near...the Cubs now have a Magic number. Houston is 2-0. And Paris Hilton hasn't had any new sex tapes released for almost three months...it is indeed the End of Days.

Come on man, I think Cleveland deserves a decent season more then anyone else in the league.
We haven't been good since Bernie played!

This is true...the only team that's been as consistently bad as Cleveland is Oakland/LA Raiders...but you won't find me rooting for that group. I'll pull for Cleveland though as long as they aren't playing Da Bears, Pittsburgh, or houston.

That's a crappy way to lose a game. I'm not a big fan of that tactic.

OK...now that I've finished crying..
The Bears are done for the season once again...and once again it's due to the fact that WE HAVE NO FREAKING QUARTERBACK!! We have 3 backups at best; Grossman can progress beyond his second read without getting completely confused. Benson is turning out to be the back that was advertised. The defense is the opposite of last year: we stuff the run and can't stop the pass. Can't we find a happy medium here?
Well, time to go to my fallback team: Go Steelers!
At least there is SOME joy in Chicago (and fear and trepidation throughout the world again) as the Cubs appear postseason bound. I'll bet the neighborhood around Seibs place is getting crazy...

Another suburb/sub-city to the west/northwest of Downtown. Hope that's clear enough for ya.

SO the Bears have benched Rex Grossman. Now we can pretty much write off this season. We have too many serious defenive injuries now for the offense to overcome. THe bad thing is that it doesn't look like there will be a QB to draft this year; no one is really distinguishing themselves in the college ranks this year. One Colt is having issues, the other plays in a bad conference and has a weak schedule. No one else is even noteworthy. Looks like another few years of QB misery in Chicago.

There are a few QB options for drafting. There always are. Just because they do not seem to be playing against the best talent, or at the top of their position, scouts will find players who are able to play in the NFL.
You can always hope McNabb comes free after this season.
