Our neighborhood lost power due to storms today. In order not to waste meat, this evening we all had a giant grilling party. I've ate more red meat tonight then is probably safe for humans, hopefully the beers will help with digestion.

Ended up a long way from home today.

Long story short, had dinner at a hotel, the Chef popped out a couple of times to actually talk to customers, one time he came out and asked if anyone had finished eating, which we had, he'd brought a dessert out he'd whipped up because he "was bored" and gave it to us to try.

I liked him, friendly bloke, gives away desserts.

That's angel floss, which is Cotton Candy's richer, stuffy cousin. It's made in a very similar way to cotton candy, but usually by hand in smaller quantities. It can be a bitch to mess around with.

Oh for Primus' sake, I know exactly what it is. I just am continuing my quest to be the evil version of Va'al to Burn. For instance, at a lovely restaurant known as Wild Sage, I had a delicious passion fruit cake with a piling of said angel floss on top of it, with a tart mango and passion fruit sauce that was quite, well, amazing.

Um...easily? It wasn't a bar or lounge or anything. Me and my folks went to it after a concert at the symphony last Christmas, lovely food, as you can see here: (sadly they no longer have that passion fruit cake :-(
