The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Tom Kenny will voice Starscream in the upcoming Transformers cartoon show, which as far as we know is to be named; Transformers Heroes. Originally the article reported that it was rumored that the voice actor, best known for his portrail of Spongebob Squarepants, was given the part of Starscream on the upcoming Transformers Movie. However, this was soon corrected and confirmed that Kenny would be part of the new show's cast.

Seriously though, this could be interesting (in a good way). Tom Kenny is a great voice actor and I can definitely see him getting the shrill treachery of Starscream's voice right.

Awesome. Pure awesome. I think people will be surprised when they hear his voice. Spongebob is only the voice he's best known for. $5 says he does the best Starscream voice in years.

It's cool to see a different set of actors for this series.

Don't put out the fire on this show just cause you hate spongebob..I mean common seriously. Voice actors do a plethora of work. It's like saying you won't watch transformer cause you hate star trek, knowing that Frank Welker voiced "young spock" in ST3.

Seriously, Absurd. If anything it shows his diversity and talent.

Tara Strong is in this? Do we even know who she's supposed to play? I'd bet she'd do a good Arcee.

And good god, people! Do you think he can only sound like Spongebob?! He's done other voices, you know.

I;'m not sure about Screamer, though I'd bet he'd be great. I was expecting more like Bumblebee. he could do an EXCELLENT Bumblebee.

And no, Michael Dobson isn't availible for this series. Nor is Gary Chalk, or anyone else you might've heard in the Unicron Trilogy. This is being done by American voices, I think the only exception is David Kaye.

It'd be nice. The first American-Made cartoon since G1. (BW was Canadian, so was BM, everything else was Japanese)
