If they were in school, War for Cybertron would be getting a "C" in every class, whereas Prime would be the Prom King and student body president.
If you'd bother to read what they say, you'd see that Prime's two Emmy wins were for the same thing: It's animation. Meaning that the story, characters, writing, action, humor, drama, plot, development, etc. (in other words, all the stuff that really matters) got nothing. Whereas WFC has been praised for all that and more.

And, FYI, I was referring to fan reception, not critical reception.

cotss2012 wrote:However, let's see which one sells more toys in the end 8)
You do realize that that is an unjustifiable call since WFC has no toys to sell right now (but when it did, its five figures sold like hot cakes, with some fans even complaining that that could never find them to buy since they were always sold out for a while), and Prime's toys are barely making it to distributors. Those who can even find the Prime toys right now are very lucky ones.

And, doesn't it strike you as bad marketing for a toyline to not come until well after the whole of 26 episodes of its tie in cartoon have already ended? WFC's five figures came relatively quick after the game's release date, and thus were more readily available (hence why the scaplers snatched'em up so quick).

cotss2012 wrote:I haven't seen any such posts. Mostly, I see a lot of "Michael bay's movies suck" threads.
Look outside the Movies forum and you'll see plenty of anti-Prime threads (which, IMO, are mostly biased and unjust bashings rather than legitimate critiques).

I'd pick out a few posts as examples, but I'm kinda pressed for time right now. Maybe later today.

Actually, it was in the episode "Shadowzone". Optimus and I think Arcee refer to it by name.

As to who I would like to have...

-Deathsaurus/Dezsaras just to have someone who would oppose Megatron, but still be a Decepticon. Especially if they follow the "Wings Of Honor" backstory.

-Shockwave.

-Waspinator, Scorponock (not quite movie, but not quite a Headmaster) Bombshell, Kickback and Shrapnel who would work with Airachnid, giving us a true Insecticon faction. Yes, I know spiders aren't considered insects.

-Bludgeon.

-Thunderwing.

-Sideways.

-Straxus.

That's all I can think of.

No problem Mod-bot

What of the Ironhide toy coming out this summer, maybe he'll take the 'tough but lovible dude' slot from where Cliffjumper left off

Like Mat001 said, it was called the Nemesis in episode 15, "Shadowzone". - http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=87NuQZkK9v0#t=82s

Really now? That is not fan art. It is the finalized concept art for Slipstream's robot mode, taken from the concept art/extras section of the War for Cybertron video game. you can also see it on this official display from High Moon Studios:

Just making sure everyone's opinions are heard, no need to ruin a quality thread with a shouting match between two members.

Slipstream is much sleeker and sultry in-game. Damn, I wish I never let my cousin borrow WFC.. haven't played it since May and it's not like I can get it back now that we live in different cities.

I also haven't urged for a toy to be made for a character more than Slipstream. So legit.

They got nominated. What has WFC been nominated for?

Your chronology is all screwed up. G2 was from 1992-94, Beast Wars toys first hit shelves in '95, and you left Machine Wars ('97) out entirely. :-B

I miss my Megaplex figure... :-(

Are you sure they're the same? I'm not seeing a lot of green or purple in that screenshot, just vaguely tinted grays. Looking all pixelly probably doesn't help, either :-(

I do not blame Michael Bay for crapping all over a huge part of my childhood. He just directed the scripts that were given to him. I blame Orci, Kurtzman, and Krueger, who seem completely incapable of concocting a story that even halfway makes sense.
