Yes, the 40-seater should be safer. You'll have two engines instead of what is likely one on the seaplane (though now that I think about it, the seaplane is probably a Cessna Caravan on floats (if it truly has 8 passenger seats) and therefore it too has a jet engine turning a prop, not a piston engine). You'll have a controlled hard-surfaced runway instead of whatever lies underneath the water surface. You'll probably have two pilots in the 40-seater and just a single pilot in the 8-seater (the second pilot catches a lot of mistakes!).

Etcetera. So no, seaplanes are not safer than commercial passenger planes, and commercial passenger planes are actually incredibly safe (speaking from experience, I've been on literally dozens of large overseas flights over my life and not a single thing has ever gone wrong). Not to mention the logistical and practical limitations of using less aerodynamic and less fuel-efficient planes for long-distance or intercontinental travel.


...And now that this incredibly off-topic (somehow) tangent is over, my actually Transformer-related comment or question for everyone, is this: Are there any particular Transformers figures in your collections that have 'transcended' their line of origin? I know RoTF Bludgeon is a common one (being used as Classics-style Bludgeon by many, myself included) but are there any odder choices that any here have made? As a starting example, my current Classics-style Arcee space is being occupied by Animated Arcee despite the total disparity in aesthetics, just because she's the best Arcee figure around IMO - and also because I don't actually have a Gen/LG Arcee, but shh that undermines my point .

A seaplane will shatter if it crashes into water, just adding pontoons to a jumbo jet isn't going to make them safer.

As for mixing lines, I find some Voyagers, especially the more futuristic or Cybertronian ones look good with Masterpieces. Springer is a good example.

Ooh, they do look good together! I'd never thought about it but those two actually do have surprisingly similar aesthetics; heck, their crotches are practically identical.

Ooh, that's a good question! The only one that springs to mind for me is TFP Ratchet, who's been with the MTMTEam as a classics ratchet stand-in for a few years now! He might not be that close design-wise to the mtmte ratchet, but I think he nails the character somehow. Plus, there's still never really been a decent classics Ratchet (botcon customisation class CW Ratchet could mayyybe count, but doesn't work that we'll when first aid is already using that mold imo)

I love putting my MP Road Rage with my Generations figures as I feel she fits the Voyager size and she just looks badass
I also feel my TFP Vehicons fit in well with the CHUG/IDW T30 aesthetic from Generations. As does my FoC Soundblaster!

Maybe I have OCD. My G1s, Movie, Animated have their own shelves..
The only transformers which are mixed, are the Unicron Trilogy and the Generations ones, which glbally have the same style.

Let's see.. I have Generations Dirge and Straxus on a shelf that's otherwise a display of G1 Decepticon toys (Megatron, Reflector, Devastator, Soundwave, Buzzsaw, Rumble, Starscream, Thundercracker, Blitzwing, the Insections, an incomplete 60% KO RID Ruination - not G1 chars, but still G1 molds, Galactic Man as Shockwave, and Menasor). The Classics Seeker mold scales well with G1 Seekers so Dirge is a better fit there size-wise.

I have G1 Springer, Rodimus Prime, and Wreck-Gar on a shelf with Titans Return Hot Rod, Kup, Blurr, and Wheelie, and Generations Arcee. To the side of them is G1 Ultra Magnus carrying G1 Tracks and Red Alert and G2 Sideswipe. And before I had TR Kup and Blurr I had the G1 versions there.

I also have Universe Cyclonus, Titans Return Galvatron, Scourge, 1 extra Titans Return Scourge with a customized Sweep face, Sixshot, and Weirdwolf, G1 Cyclonus and a G1 Scourge on a shelf with Armada Unicron. Before I got Titans Return Galvatron, Sixshot, and the 2 TR Scourges I had my G1 Galvatron and Sixshot up there as well as my second G1 Scourge.

At least, I'm assuming all that counts.

I have a couple questions of my own. I'm planning on doing some customs to fill in characters we don't have or at least don't have all of. For instance, I'm planning on doing Wilder's Transtector/Fangry's body. And what I'd like to know there is if anyone can recommend a particularly suitable cheap wolf toy to cannibalize for the wolf head?
* The wolf's head needs to be big enough (a size range from TR Sixshot's wolf head to Cybertron Snarl's wolf head)
* The head needs to be pointed straight ahead, and preferably at an elevated position or angled down.

I'm also planning to do the Horrorcons, see if I can work around the things I imagine might have made HasTak pass on them for now. The things I want to know regarding them are:
Is there any base figure - not necessarily Titans Return - close-ish to either of their transformation schemes?
What Titan Master do people think would make an okay base figure for Krunk and why?

How many Transformers sightings do we have to report in order to become a news staff member? The reason I'm asking is because I was in a Walgreens yesterday that I believe was in DeLand, Florida; and I didn't see any Deluxe class Transformers or any of the Transformers that aren't blind bag Transformers; but I did see lots of what appeared to be wave three TTC Transformers. They're at the first Walgreens on the left as you're driving down that street that's at the corner of French Avenue and Volusia Street or Woodland Boulevard. I also went to Target in Orange City where I picked up those TTC Transformers and spotted a boxed set of TLK Deluxe class Transformers for about $50. The main reason I'd like to be a member of the news staff is because Burn said they had the same ability that moderators do when it comes to titles, and I'd like to see about having mine changed to Primestrong as soon as possible. I also saw several cars that were diecast cars that didn't transform, and there was at least one Bumblebee. I wish I could afford that boxed set with ease, so I might see about putting that on layaway; but Target would have to pay me to take those diecast cars. If they want to put out diecast Transformer cars that don't even transform, they should make them smaller and get a deal going with Mattel Hot Wheels and put out super Treasure Hunt Transformer Hot Wheels that a lot of department stores will charge about a dollar for if a shopper gets lucky and finds one of those valuable things. I'll give out the address to that Target store later.

Couple quick notes, Jason:

- News Staff isn't exactly a specific goal to reach after a certain number of News Credits, it's really more an ability-based job if I understand correctly (take this and the next point with a grain of salt of course, since I'm not news staff myself either).
- I'm pretty sure that if you're News Staff, your title is going to be "News Staff". I'm not sure if you can subsequently change your own title but I don't think so.
- Usually you'll want to attach a photo of the items you've sighted when you're reporting it, too, so the news post has something to show with the report. Some of those sightings sound interesting so it'd be good to have some images to look at!

And Zelda, I can't think of any good wolf heads off the top of my head but I'll let you know if anything comes to mind. I would guess though, that you'd be best off looking in some of the less 'reputable' stores since I have this idea that they're more likely to carry cheap plastic animal toys, especially of the size you're looking for. Bigger and more well-known toy stores would probably have some of what you're looking for too, but somewhat ironically I feel like you're more likely to get what you want by going to some less quality-driven stores.

Crashbash (or I suppose for more accurate colors, Overboard) would probably be a good starting place for Krunk though, given that he has the leg teeth and the general arm shape down. Plus depending how you plan to do the beat-mode head, you can cut the front off Overboard's vehicle and stick it behind the shoulders to get that T-rex-head-hood going too.

Well the next time I get a Target gift card, I'll be sure to take my phone with me and hope I can get it to work, so I can take pictures. I know I've got my eye on that boxed set I mentioned; but I didn't see the words exclusive on the package, so if it sells, it sells. If it doesn't, I'll put it on layaway. I know I've got one Transformer that is an exclusive that's missing a part that's not that important and another one that looks like a Dollar General exclusive. My goal is to get an exclusive larger Transformer or an exclusive series that unite to form a bigger robot. In the meantime, Highbrow, Blurr, Chromedome, and that other TM Transformer that's a Deluxe class Transformer that turns into an alligator are still there.

I'm gonna do my best to find a New King James Bible within the next two days because I don't know what happened to the one I had. Speaking of which, I imagine it would be an Autobot if Hasbro put out custom-made Transformers; and the Egyptians may have been using chariots to pursue the Israelites; but I'm not sure and will have to look that one up in Exodus. If they put out Transformers that turned into those, they could be Decepticons, which would be a perfect description of Pharaoh who kept saying he'd let them go no matter how many plagues God sent him and then backing down.

Is the TTC Shockwave's alt mode a tank? If it is, I'm gonna keep him out to play with along with TTC Autobot Hound. I know in G1 days, he turned into a big futuristic gun.

Actually Crashbash is closer color-wise, what with the pinkish-purple limbs. I'm guessing the off-white head of Overboard's vehicle is what threw you.

I was mainly thinking in terms of similarity between the Titan Master's headsculpt and armor detail and Krunk's when I asked. Funny thing, the Crashbash mold's leg teeth actually aren't any use because they face the wrong way. The headsculpt could be made to work though.
Whoever I use, the job is going to require some customization of the thighs and their joints to make room for his unique pelvis.

I found this Legends class Transformer while I was looking for a Bible, and I'm pretty sure he's Barricade. The beauty of it is that he's not a repaint of Prowl that I have now. My main question is which series this Barricade is from. He's probably one I gave up playing with after turning him into a pig car because I may have had a hard time figuring him out; and please don't start bashing, ExiKaiser. I don't even remember what his robot mode looks like, much less how to transform this Decepticon; and I'm wanting to have battles where Prowl's beating up on him for being a pig instead of a good cop.

That's not Barricade. The way the car mode has a split down the middle indicates he's a Dread from Dark of the Moon called Crowbar:

It turned out Crowbar's alt mode is a pig car. I had Prowl arrest him after turning into a robot when I thought this was Barricade, and I put Crowbar in a paper cup to serve as his jail. Then I had them go at it again after changing Crowbar into a robot, and Prowl arrested him again and put him in jail to be tortured so he would squeal like the pig he is for escaping before his time in jail had been served.

I'm trying to figure out if the Decepticons have more squad cars and trucks than the Autobots do. Even before I got the TTC Decepticon Berserker, I figured that one was a truck; and I know that Strongarm turns into a truck. However, I only know of one Autobot that turns into a squad car; and that's Prowl; and the Decepticons have Crowbar and Barricade. I have a feeling that Defensor probably consists of several Autobot police vehicles; and I'm hoping the Autobots have the same number or more.

I don't consider every cop a pig. I've known one for 29 years; and the last time I checked, he's a police sergeant. He's a Christian cop who does take his duty seriously, and he works for a small police department that doesn't force him to carry a gun if he's not on duty. The last cop I talked to looked young enough to be a rookie, and he looked like he was an Asian guy, and I liked his personality, and he was very easy going. Every once in awhile, you'll find a cop who doesn't deserve the badge he somehow got like the one who deliberately shot a minority to death in Chicago, and I don't have much respect for him, and that sounds like something Crowbar or Barricade or Decepticon Berserker would do. I'm trying to figure out with Google if Groove who is one of the Protectobots is considered a Transformer that turns into a police motorcycle or not. I'm no law enforcement officer or professional marksman like Dave Crockett; but if I had a gun, I could easily shoot a suspect with a non-fatal gun shot because of the way modern technology works if he refused to freeze after being issued an order. I'd just cheat and make sure any gun would have one of those laser guides and shoot at a person's leg, and the person wouldn't be able to keep running, and I would definitely make sure the person was taken to the emergency room.
