The box is SMALL, not sure how they'll justify the price in stores since it's only a little bigger than a commander box, just a rectangle instead of a square. At least they dropped the price from traditional Titans. I'll open it later.

Wow. I wonder if Amazon really did lose mine then. Did you get it from Amazon US?
We saw from this news post how tall he is compared to Superion (who is of comparative height to Menasor) back when the toy was first unveiled:o.supreme wrote:Star Convoy is cool, but I thought it would be a little bigger.

Yeah, I never saw him as being a city-sized giant. He always struck me as being in the same realm of height as God Ginrai, Star Saber, and Dai Atlas, fitting in that era of JG1 having Japanese-influenced ultimate-form Super Robots as Autobot leaders.Emerje wrote:Personally would have preferred him a little smaller, but other people had visions of him being 2 feet tall for whatever reason I still don't understand. At best he's the same size as Powermaster Prime in the art we've seen.

The thing is, that height measurement given by TV Magazine never made any sense to begin with, as stated earlier in this thread:Nemesis Primal wrote:2. The fact that TFWiki gives his official height as being 45 meters, which is over 3 times as big as Sunbow Omega Supreme
Sabrblade wrote:It's been pointed out to me that The Battlestars story pages do say that Star Convoy and Super Megatron are 45 meters tall and 35 meters tall, respectively.![]()
However, the illustrations in the story pages don't reflect that. Star Convoy is shown to be about two heads taller than Sky Garry, who is shown in the first Battlestars story page to be about one head shorter than Dai Atlas, who was shown in Zone to be just a little shorter than Victory Saber, who is just Star Saber wearing extra boots, and Star Saber was shown in Victory to be within the same height neighborhood as both Deathsaurus and the four Combiners of that series.
That part from Emerje makes sense.Emerje wrote:And then there's this pic of Sky Garry and Optimus Prime.
Even the package art seems to mostly agree even though they tend to be mostly non-canon. Micromasters being roughly the size of humans shows that these guys aren't even proper bases, more like field battle stations
I'm thinking whoever wrote the blurbs with the sizes didn't realize those bots were Micromasters and made the numbers based on them being populated by normal sized Transformers.

Mighty Micronus Prime has graced us with his presence. Oh how the minicons have rejoiced their great granddaddy, the first ever minicon, has returned. Whats this you say, he has with him an apex armored exo suit that mimicks his every move, powered by the amazing tini tiny but super powerful Chimera stone artifact!
.
I fell in love with the RID design for Micronus right when he was training Optimus in the realm of the primes. So I started there and I always wanted to do a one wheeled motorcycle, seemed like a fitting alt mode for a minicon king, but once I kicked off to Kunihiro san, he had pointed out that being the first ever minicon, he should actually be a minicon. My brain module almost shattered but then the spark was planted and the energon flowed.
.
An exo-suit powered by a disc 🤔 how cool would it be if the ancient prime artifact the Chimera stone powered the suit when he wasn’t in it, it mimics his every move, an extension of his own self but yet still a companion. Now we are 🧑🍳 cookin! I always love to dive into the lore of the amazing 40 year megabrand that we all love, I love utilizing references and embracing what makes this brand stand out from the rest. When you have Takara Tomy by your side, you can really make miracles and dreams come true.
.
Lets get into the teeny tiny deets, the exo-suit (apex armor/ early beginnings of pretender technology) does indeed come apart to power up (weaponize) other characters. The Armada minicon logo was obviously a must, and I utilized the colors from the RID animation but juiced them up a bit 😉 Im going to stop there because the fun you will have in hand with this guy, is just a really great feeling that I’ve been chasing with the primes. Somthing different but familiar and somthing innovative, fresh, and new, lemme know if your here for it 👇🏻

All the recent Mayhem exclusives using the IDW2 Mayhem iconography have really given me an Octopunch craving. I don't care if he's updated Legacy-style or if he becomes a Weaponizer like Micronus's armor, I just want an Octopunch that can go directly from his shell design to alt mode. Anything more than that is extra.Razorbeast88 wrote:octopunch
Yeah, exact scale with all these JG1 guys and this franchise in general is kind of a losing battle 9 times out of ten.Sabrblade wrote:The thing is, that height measurement given by TV Magazine never made any sense to begin with, as stated earlier in this thread:Nemesis Primal wrote:2. That part from Emerje makes sense.

Which is ironic, since now we know, none of the other Prime toys are CC, Star Convoy/Optimus would still have been the biggest Prime at CC.

Plus we already laid the groundwork with Armada Prime, who to me is the ideal size, and Commander Class Armada Prime is WAY more complex than Titan Class Star Prime. They could easily shrink Star Prime to Armada Prime's height, not remove a single thing and still include Hot Rod (who needs to be a Micrometer, the design team missed the entire point of shrinking him down). In all honestly I wonder if Star Prime was originally planned to be a Commander, but when they decided to make Commander Combiners they just scaled him (and Rodimus) up and called him a new Titan price point instead.
