Maybe you could look into how well this guy is selling to get an estimate of the market
That's targeted towards a completely different market.
Sabrblade wrote:To be perfectly honest, as trustworthy as Catz is, I'm not expecting this to really contain a Leader class figure. Let us not forget that Leaders these days are shorter than they used to be, so Catz's supplier might have instead seen a set of all Voyagers but with one of them being a bit larger/bulkier/taller/etc. than the others.
After all, Venksta is also reputable, and he said that there were six roughly-Voyager-sized figures in the set.
At this point, I'm just gonna sit back and wait and see what comes out of this, rather than assume anything more than this thing's forthcoming existence.![]()
As for the G1 reissues, I find those of Blaster, Perceptor, and the Insecticons to be a bit premature in their being rereleased, what with those ones having already had Hasbro rereleases just a few years ago.

Buy a third party one to fit in with your geewun classics crap. Why does it matter? Hasbro is not releasing figures to appease middle aged toy collectors. They are selling toys to children. Awesome if what they make appeals to us. If not, then get over it. Our time is up. The eighties are long over. This isn't geewun. Its that simple.
Yeah, I dont think so. The brand is alive and well and G1 looks anything but dead right now. I am happy to be a fan even if none of what is written above is happening (though we all know quite a bit of it is)

Does it apply to Titan Metroplex-sized figures only, or to figures measuring just larger than Supreme Class (Armada Unicron, Energon Omega Supreme), or is it only a price category meaning $150.00+ range? Maybe it just means whatever they want it to?
Classes pertain to costs. Hasbro has already stated this many times.

Thanks for the info. Shockblast2; and sorry that answering a question not even directed at you, seemed to annoy you a bit. I'm was only curious about Devastator and meant no disrespect.

G1 ended over 20 years ago. If you mean its influence, then yes, it will always be the core of Transformers because it started it all. And while I respect the line for what it was and still is, it is definitely long dead. If anything, this is a new generation of our old favorites. Just like G2, which took over for G1 when it ended. And in my opinion, this generation, or G3 as I like to call it, is far superior to its predecessors. This doesn't take away from G1 however, because without the original we have nothing.

For $180, it better do my taxes as well.

Okay, we've had this discussion befor. Let me put it this way. Generation 2, is a continuation of the original transformers story, and to extent toyline. It's called Generation 2 because here in Merica there was a brief hiatus between the two. After that failed spectacularly, anc a few years later, the beast wars toy line and storylines were introduced. The beast era, canonically is a continuation of sorts of the g1/g2 storylines, except beast wars took place a few literal societal generations after those stories. The "Classics, Universe, generations toylines, are not a generation of transformers unto themselves. The equivalent of that would be calling the star wars black series toys kenner episode 7 toys. The generations, or neo classics as I call them, toys are a hodge podge of different toys with no actual story driving them, as toys. What's going on is, hasbro is using more IDW centric designs to emulate these new comics, thus making these more recent generations toys, more related to the IDW comics that way they have a fiction outlet. The IDW comics are another interpretation of the G1 characters, storyline et cetera accept better. End of point, There is no generation 3, these are not generation 3 toys, these are generations toys based of the g1 characters, beast wars characters, RID characters, Unicron trilogy characters, as well as other influences such as IDW's comics which are an adaptation and interpretation of G1.

With all your "GEEWUN" comments, I was under the assumption that you wouldnt be among the population of people that have to file taxes. You seem to have a problem with collectors in their 30s and older.
I wouldn't be too quick to jump on that "Leader" claim. It could very well be all Voyagers with one of them being just a bit bigger than the others.Megatron Wolf wrote:i was excited for devastator until i read the part about it being a leader & voyagers along side the high price point, cant afford to drop that much cash in one shot on a dust collector nor do i have the shelf space for something that big. ZeroWolf wrote:I would love it if prowl was one of the voyagers (if the rumoured deluxe prowl is correct it would be great if he transformed into the head, or had an replacement head for devy). Also to whoever said "it may happen in the comics but not in the toy line" you have to admit that the comics and the toys have been pretty entwined as of late. Even now I wonder if they worked together to come up with the idea of Combiner Wars.

They'll claim that all day long. I still think some of the comic material, or at the very least the inclusion of certain characters, is a Hasbro mandate despite anything Mr. Barber is forced to say to the contrary.
That said, I also think IDW still gets a phenomenal degree of autonomy and very little of these assumed mandates end up affecting the overall direction they go in. So yeah, also possible they could have easily just kept on and had whatever other story plus combiners showing up, but perhaps chose to have a synergistic thing going on with xRiD/Windblade for awhile to try and gain some sales through cross promotion and brand consistency.

No, that would be silly and hypocritical as I am 34 years old myself. I like geewun, or G1. What I don't like is arguing day in and day out with people about the specifics of mine collection and how I classify it versus yours.
Why would I have a problem with collecting if you are 30 years or older? Now, I do take issue with people who have delusions that Hasbro is something more than a toy company that primarily produces toys for children. If they create something for the children that appeals to us, then great! Buy it up! I did, and still do. But, I have no delusions on what Hasbro should and should not be producing.
Do you know any members like that?
