Wow. That's really, really dumb. Unless he use the club as his tank cannon? Just a 5mm hole at the end would be enough to do the trick.

It's the engines/boosters on the sides that he'll be missing. I'm guessing he'll have his ball and chain instead. People always call it a mace, but a mace is basically a club, there's no chain.
