Who cares man? Not everyone can agree on something, and even so, I'm still going to watch it, you're still going to watch it and they're still not going to watch it. It's a shame that people bash something when all we see are designs, but it's happened in every single new series of Transformers. And time and time again, those people are going to end up falling in love with the show. Why? Because it's T-R-A-N-S-F-O-R-M-E-R-S and as long as it isn't Kiss Player **** then I'm pretty sure any common Transformers fan can enjoy a show about Transformers. So, who cares about them?

O_o
You summed that up so well, I would censor out Sh......but KP is so bad it doesn't deserve it...

Look at it this way guys, it can't be worse than Energon.

I was contemplating upgrading my satellite TV package so I'd get this channel. Not anymore I'm not. Why do Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci insist on such a strong human presence in Transformers? Admittedly they're not the only ones. It's been getting steadily worse ever since Robots in Disguise. Then there's Pokemon, Digimon, Medabots, and other brilliant concepts with an over-reliance on humans. We have two movies named Transformers who's main character is a boy who always saves the Autobots from getting annihilated.

It seems that for the most part I'm preaching to the choir, but why? WHY!!?? If it's to create an emotional connection with their characters, then that's just poor writing and they need a new production team. Or do they think that we're so uncertain of ourselves as a species that we need to be told we're capable of such extraordinary things. Pathetic.

I'll stick to G1 and Beast era DVDs and comics.

Oh, man.

Dear Hasbro,
y'know how GI Joe Resolute was f'ng awesome? Please apply the same formula to the Transformers brand and reap the benefits of having a show that respects those who've been with the franchise since the start. I won't even mind if it is a one-off like Resolute, or even if it's alongside yet another kiddie TF show. Hell, Beast Wars was kiddie-TF but it still managed to be entertaining and respectful. Good stories with G1-like characters need not be confined to comics.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

I think Megatron looks a lot more sinister, Yeah, some people wish more for the boxy pistol megatron, but face it, boxy robots in cgi won't look as good, because all that alien armor and stuff adds detail.
And as far as the people whining about human drama, it's on earth, and its a kid show,
That means that,
A) they are not likely to use people as cannon fodder,
and
B) kids doing grownup things (like saving the world, (spykids, transformers, ect), running a company (richie rich), making inventions (jimmy neutron, phineas and ferb), etc. Tends to attract kids better then mindless violence.
and as far as decent shows with human drama and giant robots, doesn't gundam count?
G-Gundam was all about domon kashu or whatever and his secret hots for his partner rayne or whatever.
and the giant robots giant glowy destructive finger,
They also had a little kid who piloted a giant flamethrower wielding robot.
and the original had the constant war against zeon, and it was super dramaticy.

I don't remember any Gundam shows that have Giant Transforming Robot Characters. They all have Giant Transforming Robot Suits/Vehicles. Of course, I don't tend to follow Gundam, since I prefer my giant robots to be giant robots and not oversized versions of Iron Man.

OK, Hub is a KIDS channel. KIDS. CHILDREN. MINORS. UNDER THE AGE OF 10. Go look at the package for GI Joe Resolute. What does it say? Anyone? ANyone? PG-13. PG-flippin THIRTEEN. You're not going to put something aimed at the middle TEENAGE BRACKET on a channel aimed at KIDS UNDER TEN.

THe more I read these forums, the more I want to tell Hasbro, "Just do something completely different. Screw the collectors. Screw the fans. You don't need them. Kill Optimus Prime. Make a Kiss PLayers series. Voice Optimus Prime with Bobcat Goldthwaite! Create Teletubbie Transformers!" All I ever see on here is whining...good god, people GROW UP! WHY should Hasrbo listen to you, especially when EVERYTHING THEY DO is met with whining, crying, gnashing of teeth, "You destroyed my childhood". The only way Hasbro can ruin your child hood is if they built a flippin time machine and went back in time and did Michael Jackson things to you! If you can't handle it, let it go. Start acting like grownups and quit your whining.

I was impressed with BB's slomo punch in that one clip, but the designs are a little too animated, as in the show "Animated". I don't mind stylized like in Armada, but I hate the art direction, hopefull there will be some impressive aspects, like an Omega Supreme and such.

Still, I wish we'd get a new series not having to do with the movie, like how the Unicron trilogy introduced Minicons, new characters, Cyber keys, etc, while Animated had the allspark and such immediately following the movie, and this series will probably not be much different form the movie-verse with the same writers

IDK about the writers of the movie verse writing the cartoon, but I would love it if Michael Bay directed the cartoon! Movie verse action in cartoon form!

Ok, I'm sorry. I lmao at this post. Calm down there, take a deep breath. It's the internet, not something to loose your s**t over.

As far I'm concerned, I like the designs, think there great, it's the "Human Drama" part that gets me. Yeah, yeah, I know it's on Earth, I get it. Can't avoid humans, kids need something to relate to. But why do the Transformers, the titular characters of the show(and this goes for the movies too), take a backseat to the human characters? The whole "cuz it's on Earth" argument gets thrown right out the window when you sit and watch Animated. Took place almost completely on Earth, heavy human involvement, yet the show was still about the Transformers, the titular characters of the series. And guess what, it was good, no it was GREAT. Best series since Beast Wars imho. Why, cuz it had intelligent writing. It had balance. And ultimately, it was still about the Transformers. Can you say that about the films, hardly. Hell, ROTF was a romantic teen comedy with giant robots in the back ground. Good portions of the movie were centered around the Sam/Mikala relationship/love story. Yeah, it's geared towards kids, they need something to relate to, but that kind of writing is an insult to even my 3 year old's intelligence(he's very smart for 3, but he is still just 3) And 2 of the "writers" responsible for that are working on TF: Prime. And yes, while kids need something to relate to, when a show is called Transformers, yes even kids want that show to be about just that, what it's called.

Will I give the show a chance, yes. I am a Transformers fan, so I will. But do I have my hopes up for it, no. I like the look(I love the movie designs, they make great toys), but when I see "More Human Drama" and Orci/Kurtzman's name attached to it, I have a real strong feeling that it won't be near as good as the last series, Animated. And yes, I get it's for kids, but kids shows have been and can be smart, like Animated.

Ok, go ahead and tear my post to shreds, cuz I know it's gonna happen. I've said my peace.

I think First-Aid missed my point. I've no problem with there being TF shows for kids. While I wasn't really a fan of the Unicron Trilogy cartoons, they brought us some damn good toys. I didn't get into Animated because of the design aesthetic, and having watched the first few episodes I didn't really enjoy them that much, but do like how all the characters have been introduced. The inclusion of non-G1 characters into the story didn't seem to hurt it. Reading the wiki on Waspinator and Blackarachnia in particular has made me think about giving the show another chance sometime down the line. Also, while I don't own any because I don't feel they'd fit and don't have the funds to buy a whole other collection of TFs, the Animated figures look pretty good and I'm really impressed that Hasbro and Takara were able to make those designs work in 3d. TF needs to be something that kids can enjoy. No doubt.

HOWEVER, as said in my original post, I think it'd be fair for Hasbro to get some audio/visual entertainment out there for those of us who've grown up with the franchise, and have enjoyed the more complex (if only slightly so in some cases) depictions of their characters that have appeared in other media. I didn't give Beast Wars a chance at first, cause they were all realistic looking animals and it wasn't really Prime and Megatron. The usual stuff. But once I started watching the show I really got to like it, even before the G1 fan-service stuff got added.

another thing First-Aid, I can't look at the box for Resolute, because it hasn't been released in my country, but there wasn't anything in that show that I don't think a cartoon about giant robots wouldn't get away with for children. A man with a samurai sword chopping up nameless grunts might not work for the censors, but I reckon they'd be a tad more forgiving to robot-on-robot violence. I don't know about the US ratings for the live-action films, but there was a lot of stuff in the first one that very definitely wasn't aimed at the kids. And even if it was PG13, I think so was The Dark Knight and I know there were a lot more little kids getting taken to see that than there really should have been, IMO. But never mind, I'll stop whining. Wouldn't want someone whining about something on an internet message board now would we? I mean, that would be childish.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

...If by human drama they mean Megatron being an a**hole and killing humans then hell yes.

If they mean an abortion staring humans with robots in the background...my cries of pain and agony of seeing my childhood heroes butchered will be heard worldwide.

Arcee...looks cute as hell to me though.
“Alas, poor Ulrich…I didn’t know him so who cares”-me

Due to his rather unique birth, Grimlock has a slow but endearing speech pattern, which can easily make you forget he's Godzilla with style. And weapons.
