From eBay, I got yet another 2007 voyager Starscream for my custom fodder. Due to taxes and the shipping, the price was way more expensive than what I usually pay. Plus, contrary to what the listing described, there was way more than missing missiles. EVERYTHING that could pop off was missing. Not that it really matter for my custom, but I still got a reasonable partial refund out of it.

I will serves for my upcoming Montreal Comiccon panel this July, then I'll make a custom at a later date.

Next from Mandarake, I got the Black Knight Optimus Prime, used but 100% complete for the price of a voyager! Even with the shipping added, the total was barely 60$CAN! No taxes!

I got rid of my original AOE leader ages ago so it's nice to get it back in these sick colors. And no, it's not a Nemesis, with all those all over him. Plus the truck mode steal the show.

I hate the Legacy Tarn toy. I hate it so much. Then they made a a direct repaint of it with a new head as Bludgeon. I took that as a personal insult.

I also bought back the Creatures Collides Ransack because Amazon will complete that bug trio soon. Plus one rare ES figure, the 1-Step Sckullcrunsher. Because the croc is cool. And that gimmick is fun!

I got two great deals.
First, the Maverick from Amazon USA. The total price was LESS than a taxed locally bought deluxe, even when factoring shipping!
Plus from eBay, two 2007 Voyager Starscreams for my customs (I never have enough of those) for only 20$CAN each plus shipping (100% complete, unbroken.)

However, these deals were offset by by how much I had to pay to get back the Siege Ironhide and Ratchet. Around 130$CAN shipped total for the pair. Fuk me. I should have never sold them. Now, they are ironically worth much more than the exclusive Earthrise versions!

Went to the Tampa Bay Toy & Comic Expo on the previous Saturday two days ago and got myself a nice little haul.



The comic is exclusive to this event, or rather its cover is. It's Issue #1 of IDW's Revolution series, with a new cover by Matin Dunn, Javier Lugo, and Aly Dunn. It was first released at the 2016 toy expo, and has been a regular exclusive to the event since then, given out every year to attendees who register for VIP admission (a measly $10; normal general admission is only $5). It's also available to purchase at the event as well. I went with VIP admission, so I got it included with my registration.

The rest of my haul consists of:

• Armada Laserbeak
• Cybertron Scout class Scrapmetal (yellow variant)
• San Diego Comic-Con 2005 Cybertron Legends of Cybertron Skywarp
• Timelines Heatwave
• Timelines Shattered Glass Cyclonus & Krunix
• And a Japanese Beast Wars keychain camera toy called "Beast Wars Movie". I haven't opened it yet but I'm guessing it's something like a View-Master with a slideshow of reels inside it that can be viewed when held up to a light source, but that's just my assumption.

EDIT: Just opened it up and, yeah, it is like a little View-Master. I can see at least two images inside, but the internal mechanism that's supposed to rotate the images is kinda busted, so the images are stuck in place. The two I can see are a pic of the JBW logo and a Mainframe screencap of Optimus Primal's season 1 gorilla face.

I thought I had a good deal at Amazon, but customs said otherwise.

Anyway, I finally have the last Bishoujo Transformers sculpt, Nemesis Prime! She's a beauty and way better than Optimus "the mechanic".

Her sword is dangerous though. It was hard to put it in her hand and that nasty handle spike drew blood!

My Nemesisses collection is looking good! Too bad that there's so many that are way overpriced.

The advantage of that geek store is not only can we get things "early", but I can dump old stuff for store credits, GameStop style.

I never liked my SS69 Devastator (with DK upgrades). Too fiddly and annoying to do anything with. So I traded-in the whole shebang (with the box) for Tidal Wave as a 1:1 trade. Sure, I may have lost around 100$, but I have no regrets.
Tidal Wave is worth it.

So Target put all of their Micromachines toys on clearance, picked up the Optimus Prime playset for $14, pretty sure the price tag said it was supposed to be $12 something, but I wasn't going to fight it. They had the Bumblebee playset tagged at $28, but I'm going to hold off and see if lasts long enough to go lower, they had a bunch of them.

I'd been thinking about getting one the Warehouse ones for a while since they had a bunch of them returned when they had the listing mixed up with the Autobot equivalent, but that one is also $50 so of course I went with the new one. Ordered Thursday, arrived Saturday.

Here are my most recent additions, both vintage movie toys. One was an intentional search, the other was a fortuitous happenstance. I was looking to get a ROTF Thrust to finally pair my NEST Dirge with. I found one from Transformersland for a good price, plus I've ordered from them before and know they're a reliable site. My plan was to secure myself a Thrust since he was rarer and tends to fetch more before I go in on ROTF Ramjet to complete the movie "coneheads". Very glad to have him in hand! He's pretty fun, and I'm looking forward to adding Ramjet sometime soon.

While browsing ebay, I did a quick round of holy grail names just to check whether they were all still inaccessibly expensive. Except this time, one of those names, that has always come up at well over $100, had a listing for about $75 instead, nearly $20 less than the next cheapest. I pounced. And behold, now in my house, the original Dark of the Moon Mechtech Deluxe Soundwave!

It's quite a thrill to finally have this in my collection! For a long time I didn't think I ever would, given it was reduced to a Japenese exclusive after the abrupt cancellation of the original DOTM line and accordingly goes for high prices. My brother got the Studio Series release, so I never felt I had to get one of those, but now that I do finally have my own representation of DOTM Soundwave, the collection feels more complete without double-dipping. Overall a very satisfying week of scores!

I meant 'Vintage' more to indicate that these were toys from the original movie lines as opposed to more 'modern' movie themed lines like Studio Series (which isn't even new itself anymore, as it's been going on for over half a decade now!). Perhaps I could have chosen my wording differently, but it wouldn't change your age!

I went to the flea market.
Among the grossly overpriced scraps that were not worth it, I found a small and a BIG treasure!

First, the Universe legends/legion/whatever Bumblebee for 5$CAN, complete and unbroken.
Plus, a mysterious thing that is labelled "Bandai 1985."

The big bot is loose all over and some chrome wore out, but he's still pretty much perfect and in great condition all over.
And after looking things up a bit, turns out that he's the very rare Super Gobots Clutch! USA/CAN edition with the gray windows and green head.

The Europe edition is not that expensive, but I have no clue what the USA edition is worth. One thing is sure, 10$CAN for him was a great deal.

Got a bunch of stuff today, saving the best for last since it was also the last thing I got delivered today:

From Target: Micromachines Bumblebee Playset on clearance for $20 and a single blind box that must have been restocked after the clearance started for $5. They were both 50% off.

From Target.com: Optimus Prime and Bullseye set (saw this at Target this morning as well).

From Amazon: Deluxe Insecticon set

And from Mandarake:

Japanese Lawson's exclusive Burning Optimus Primal for ROTB. Sealed and in great shape. I ended up paying considerably less that what these go for on eBay, under $150 which is still a lot, but it's the only Kingdom Primal I didn't have and it really stands out. But do I open it? I don't know, for the price I feel like I should leave it in the box, but at the same time I should be able to enjoy it, right? I'm so conflicted...

Speaking of Mandarake, I finally got the Grand Galvatron set from there. At 21000Y the price was really good, but "Air PP" wasn't the cheapest shipping option. 8190Y, holy crap... I just hope I won't have any custom fees on top of that once the set arrives.

SCORE! from my local geek shop!

I now have the SS86 Swoop, thus completing my SS86 Dinobots!

Plus a G2 Bumblebee in excelent condition.

And finally, I HATE that Legacy Bludgeon su much, that I bought it AGAIN. This one, I will open but will remain vanilla to as a comparison with my heavily modified one. It will be a nice "before and after" example for my upcoming Comiccon panel.
