Dude..... Kick Ax was one of my favorite groups of the 80's.I wanted to ask this question a while back but I didnt tnink anyone would get it....I got a few complaints that my questions were too cerebral.

Theres no real way to get the answer to that question.

There are two sets or rumors about the name change both supported by different members of the band.

The first [and most likely] was that the producers of the soundtrack felt that the name "Kick Ax" was too simular to "Kick A$$" and would not be appropriate for a kids movie.

The other [which was stated by the producers and one former member of the band] was that the name "Kick Ax" was not [at the time] advisiable to be trademarked due to the sensership debates of the early and mid 80's.
