Oh yeah, the Mammoth version, now that's a Nemesis that's fully formed (going by Sabr's fun Nemesis timeline of murder). He has blood on his tusks!
Sabrblade wrote:That one was a United toy, not Legends, and was technically not a Nemesis Prime toy since it was sold as "Black Optimus Prime", being the Autobot leader going undercover as a Con.Gauntlet101010 wrote:If we're shifting talk to Nemesis Primes, I think the final word for him - for me - are the old Universe Mammoth version and the Legends one with TFC's backpack to give him an edge.

Reading this is funny for me comparing it to my head canon universe version of Nemesis.Sabrblade wrote:As in, like, this is Nemesis Prime in his early days before he makes a name for himself or gets any upgrades, his sword merely being the first step on his journey to being more than just "evil Optimus in black and teal". In this form, he is still so ordinary because he is just beginning his life of villainy.

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.
ZeroWolf wrote:I quite like the way IDW did it with Nova Prime becoming that universes Nemesis Prime when he fell into the Dead Universe... Till they dropped the moniker faster then a piece of rubbish. In fact Nova lost a lot of standing as a villain after that, playing second fiddle to more important characters like Galvaltron. I'd personally though, stick Nemesis Prime in with the forces of Unicron, like Universe Nemesis Prime. The thought of Unicron having a dark mirror image of one of Primus's iconic defenders,os quite appealing.

Not as sleek forward of the wings as the original toy, sadly, but the back is tidier and as a whole it still looks good. It's a bit fiddly to get him into it, as with gorilla mode, but the result is nice. There is again a dedicated mounting hole for the gun. Perhaps the biggest difficulty is with how the shield covers the rear cockpit (where Spasma is intended to sit). Extracting the long peg from the hole without stressing it has given people trouble, from what I hear. I covered this before, but I've had good luck with grabbing the shield by the fins and gently wiggling it upwards... as well as with lifting the shield from below by jacking the wings up.

Oops, forgot to cover that. To the editmobile!Sentinel_Primal wrote:ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:Jet/Starfighter Mode:

I tend to use a spudger to lift the shield out. Works really well. How's the gun's fit when you peg it into the jet nosecone? Mine's such a loose connection that it just falls out immediately

The original listings all said April 1st for the release date and delivery by April 3rd if you ordered enough for the free 2 day shipping. So I wouldn't start to worry before then.
ZeroWolf wrote:See the character in your head cannon reminds me more of Scourge, which is why I'm open to the title of Nemesis Prime being open to a non-Optimus mold (again similar to Universe Nemmy being a redeco Big Convoy... Okay I know in fiction he was supposed to be an Optimus but you know what I mean)
Good to see that you're building your own cannon up to suit your collection. It's a great writing exercise, hope you're writing it all down. It could inspire a great many fanfiction, that could open further doors. I know a lad that started out that way and then moved on to publishing his own work.
