No, that was in Season 3. It's the planet that Sandstorm was from.

I would like to defend Rodimus' decision, because that planet was a near limitless supply of energon. That's pretty powerful. One day is a little quick, though.

G1, the robots looked like robots and the vehicles looked like vehicles, that's the whole premise of transformers.

1) Wheelie is worth saving!
Don't think of him as the jivetalkin' jester think of him as Mogely from the Jungle Book. A boy alone for his whole life. A lost Junkion child in the jungles of Quintessa. He's more of a tragedy than anything else. The kid needs a safe environment and a shrink, not a war!

2) Ultra Magnus is not Little Prime!
He's got soul but he's just a soldier. Lancelot to Optimus' Arthur, not every general makes a good king. He knew it but in the end, even taking command was just following orders.

3) The concept for Armada was great!
Rescuing a lost third race that could sway the balance of power and the race to save the little gypsys caught in the middle of a war not their own. Excellent! Too bad it was a bait-n-switch Pokemon clone.

4) Rumble is blue.

5) Beast Machines was a great show. Highly stylized but still realistic, it added new depth to the Transformers that most fans are unwilling to accept. Cybertron was once a living world. That's the most transformative concept ever! Even their home planet was more than meets the eye!

6) If the Martix was a crappy plot device, Unicron was an even bigger one. The only real time the Movie has any sense of threat after the Death of Optimus is the battle with the Junkions and the fight with the Sharkticons. It's like being attacked by two different types of zombies at once. After that, Unicron is something of a let down.

7) Frenzy is red.

8] Robo Vision is better than Leader class. He's even better armed. I call his guns Truth and Reconciliation. 5 free coupons to the internets to the first to get that reference!

9) Transtech toys now! Maybe not the whole line but just the marquee names: Optimus, Megatron, Starscream and a few others. I know some of the designs were used in A/E/C but I still want them. That Prime in Voyager or Leader class with the same treatment as Primal Prime would be amazing! Even if its just in Japan, I'll still buy it. Even without the show, I'll still buy it. And don't say it won't happen without a show: Robot Masters, Alternators, Classics, War Within. Hell, even Return of Convoy didn't have a show and I bought Star Convoy twice!

10) Gen 1 ended with the Movie. Season 3 sucked. The Return of Optimus Prime sucked harder. Headmasters sucked hardest of all!

11) In a perfect season 3, Optimus stayed dead and Rodimus evolved as a character. Even if Optimus had to come back, he would have stepped aside a let Rodimus lead, taking more of a advisory role. Or even as a "if you get in over your head and need help, call me." If old soldiers don't die, they retire/fade away. Fact of life. Optimus should never have resumed command. The Matrix chose Rodimus for a reason and the one person who would have accepted that best is Optimus.

Sorry, I can't agree there, especially since 95% of my collection is G1, RiD, BTs, MPs, Classics. Never found anything appealing about the other lines. There were the occasional great figure like Vector Prime, Primus, Unicron, etc that I picked up. By and large, those lines felt cheaper and a lot more toy like than the G1s. Articulation be damned, the execution and realisim on the G1s is far greater to me.

Armada: You couldn't spare a couple of bucks to have the scripts proofread before you recorded the dialogue? The movie designs could have used some more appealing mugs, but overall not all that different if you squint a little.

AND there ABSOLUTLEY NEEDS to be a TF MMORPG and a FPS.

Ah sure, I'll add to the truth here. Most collectors started out collecting to recapture a pure and simple something in their lives that has slipped away. And they have ended becoming a bunch of OCD malcontents who will buy any crap that bears the TF logo.

OK, that hit a little too close to home for me lol.

1) Arcee is hot. That will probably be the last thought I have in my head when the nurses pull the plug on me.

2) I can't say who was the better leader, but I always found G1 Megs the most fun to watch.

3) Armada through Classics and the movie toys are awesome, except the crappy ones. Like Movie Megs and Lugnutz.

4) The G1 cartoon was awesome. When I was a kid, I thought the insane cheesy stories were interesting. As an adult, the series holds memories and I still get some laughs out of it.

5) Prime HAS to be a red truck to me. I don't care what kind of truck, as long as he's red.

6) Nobody really cares who became Cyclonus.

7) Human characters are ok as long as they don't use too many.

My TRUTHS:

Megatron turning into a gun was the lamest thing ever. I even remember as a kid thinking it was stupid. "He's already got a bunch of guns, why doesn't he turn into a tank or something?"

Headmasters were the stupid as well. The only good thing that came out of that series was Scorponok's figure. ADMIT IT.

Starscream should NOT be that popular. Woo, ok he's a jet that wants to undermine his boss. Big deal. He's always trying to find a way to take power away from Megatron when he couldn't find a flag pole if it was stuck in his ass.

The Transformers cartoons have the most underlying sexual innuendo (with names of some of the TFs and the like) this side of Prince Adam wearing purple, winking at you and saying he has 'fabulous powers'.

I didn't really get into it at the time. It was a hell of alot better than the Unicron trilogy but IMO Beast Wars was better. I really couldn't get past Grimlock being an excavator though...I need to go back and watch RID in it's entirety again.
It had it's action and it's funnies.
Though the whole Megatron to Galvatron by a paint-job that increased his powers really bugged me I mean how does a robot come back to life and get magically get stronger? I've rambled enough about stuff I don't know well so I'll move on.

Yeah I have to agree though they could have done abit more with him in the series. I still think G1 Megs has a better design.

Technically yes the whole mechanics of the figures is FAR superior though design wise I can't say much for some of the alt-modes in cybertron being flying wedges and the paint choice on some figures was horrible *coughDirtBosscough*.

My own possibly unpopular opinions:

1 ) Movie Deluxe Bonecrusher looks like a walking trash pile. Heck, he'd make a decent Junkion if his alt mode was only trashed a bit, too. But as a "normal" Decepticon? No way, even in the "random mechanical parts" style of the movie bots and their toys.


2 ) Knockoffs are fun and cheap. You don't like 'em? Tough, more for me. And most of the ones I have actually stood up to almost as much fiddling and "abuse" as the actual Hasbro ones I have.


3 ) Minibots (Bumblebee, Brawn, Seaspray, etc), Micromasters, Minicons, Go-Bots... they're practically all the same. And some Go-Bots were more visually interesting with interesting transforms than most of the others of those I listed (FYI, Spoons rawks!)


4 ) I like only certain G1 era TF toys and that's purely for nostalgia's sake (namely Jazz, the Datsuns, Sideswipe / Red Alert, Grapple/Inferno, and the Scramble City combiners - note that Soundwave, Prime, Megs, etc are not in that list)


5 ) Devcon, Impactor, Jhiaxus, Emirate Xaaron, Straxus, Hauler, and Sunstorm are third-stringers. They do not need the attention so many people give them.


6 ) Repaints do not "kill" a line. Person A might prefer the color scheme of Bumblebee, Person B might prefer Cliffjumper. Person C might prefer Crosswise, but Person D might prefer Smokescreen. There have been repaints (and minor remolds - Prowl/Bluestreak) since Year One, get over it.

Post-movie G1 was awesome.

The Takara version is not always better.

The hatred of Wheelie is just a lame bandwagon. Get over it, he's not that annoying, and it's not funny anymore (if it ever was )

G1 Starscream is more annoying than Wheelie.

Optimus Prime was badass for about 5 seconds in TFTM, and has been super lame every other time (except maybe in comics).

There is more to Transformers than 'robots in disguise'; Cybertronian alt modes are awesome.

Seibertron does not contain nuts.

1. Welker alone could have saved Bay alot of flak.

2. The Real Gears are probably the most original transformers in a long time.

3. Robot Heros will eveuntually supplant the Transformers lines.

I like Quintessons! They were interesting and added a darker element to the super cheeryness of the show with their executions and manipulation.

There was a lot of disguised swearing in G1. What do you think was really being said in lines such as "Shove it up your afterburner" & "Go get defunked"?

Sunstorm was really really really badly implemented, his original bio for the e-hobby exclusive toy had good potential, a 'con who in theory had unlimited power, but damadged himself every time he used even a fraction of it. A guy who's unstable core pumped out so much radiation that he more or less had to live in self imposed exile because anyone who came near him would get radiation poisoning. But inspite of his problems he found spiritual comfort in his pain and isolation. Unfortunately DW just turned him in to a super powered Starscream clone who didn't show any side effects of his power till the very last minute.

Starscream wasn't cool in life or death

My contributions:

1) Most G1 characters that fans seem to adore are in fact, nothing more than 2-D, personality-less drones that wouldn't get a mention if not for the fact that "they were the originals". I'm looking at you Trailbreaker, Sideswipe, Windcharger, Skywarp etc etc...in fact, about five characters from the 1984 toyline got decent characterisation in both cartoon and comic.

2) Frenzy is blue, Rumble is red.

3) Just because it was made after 1986 does not mean it is EVIL or rubbish!

4) Season 3 of the cartoon was far superior to the first two in almost every conceivable way.

5) Simon Furman was good, but had an easier job than Uncle Bob. Budiansky was a fantastic comic writer (let's see you write a monthly comic book with a cast of, at the very end, well over a 100).

6) The Dinobots aren't actually very interesting at all.

7) Just because it isn't IDENTICAL TO THE CHEAP, LAME 1980s CARTOON THAT YOU REMEMBER FROM YOUR YOUTH IN EVERY SINGLE DETAIL does not mean the new movie won't be good.

Forget about Armada/Energon, Dreamwave really were the worst thing that happened to the TF franchise in the last decade.

Alternators aren't any fun at all.

Truths:

1. Fans go crazy over classics, which to me still look like toys, and had no realism or redeeming qualities of G-1. Not diecast, not chrome, and clear windows with real car parts and steering wheels..there were a few though that did look great.. but they are not Masterpieces or Alternators..so i didn't buy them..but now I WISH I HAD..

2. Simon Furhman is a hack writer, his stuff is pointless and has no interest to me.

3. Generation one Megatron was ruthless and cool. He did need a new altmode, but his robot mode was supremely cool. Megatron from BW was sweet and cunning. I love him. RID Megatron was barely likable.

4. Armada/Cybertron/Energon were rehashes of G-1 all around, even the ending with the death of unicron was like straight out of 1986's movie lines...couldn't they come up with any thing original?? look at Energon megatron, can we say remolded g-1 Galvatron..

5. Humans are cool to the series if they aren't whinny little kids.. Spike was the coolest one!!!

6. the Beast Wars opening theme was freaking annoying!! that guitar solo was absolutely awful...

7. Dreamwave was cool, and new for its time, and hate the Optimus prime breasts all you want, you just despise it because it dropped off, due to Pat Lee and you have to suffer with IDW's Furhman trash now!! Get over it!!

8. RID optimus prime was the cooolest Fire truck ever!!!

9. Transformers Universe would be the perfect Cartoon series.

10. Minicons are the crappiest concept I have even seen in a transformers series!! a bunch of R-2 D2s running around with some annoying ass kids doesn't interest me..

26. Convoy sounds like crap compared to Optimus Prime!!

27. Skywarp and Thundercracker had personalities, you just never remember it because Starscream was always featured..

31. Takara uses better paint applications and chrome coloring and diecast.. so their figures are good...those who can't afford them bitch and moan, but really wish they had the cash to blow and would buy every one!!!

32. Takara packaging is way better then that twistie tie Hasbro crap!!!

33. BBTS is way to expensive and their prices are jacked up!!

34. The Botcon this year has too many exclusives and really showcases their greed..especially Alternators hot Rodimus!!

35. classics optimus prime from the Prime/ Megatron 2 pack, looks cross eyed!!


36. Robot heroes look like plastic ghetto/urban art or japanese super deformed figures..
