It can be a single toy or a whole line for that matter or just line that got canceled that should still be going. I want reasons why this was a huge mistake. Not just well I love this ______ and that is why it shouldn't have been canceled. But a really reason something people can view and say I agree or disagree with that. If you disagree with that person reason please explain you side of the things and don't just that is stupid and shouldn't think that.

The greatest mistake was making G2 predominantly repaints of the original G1 toys from six years before.

Hasbro losing molds to the more popular figures, ei. Dinobots. Good for those who still have the originals though! :D

the whole beast machines line, i just never liked the "organic" look they tried, especially on optimus primal and rattrap. In my opinion they looked so cool at the end of beast wars in their transmetal looks, and going from transmetal to that, just really killed it for me.

Hmm, th emore I thin kabout this, I think the no 1 mistake has to be not doing Headmasters here. That pretty much killed off TFs here from the late 80s till the mid 90s.

Biggst mistake? So many continuity errors.

Where did the dinobots and the constructicons come from again?

What is Optimus' original name again?

So do they have lazercore's or sparks? The matrix or the allspark?

WTF?!

But the SINGLE biggest mistake is:

NOT MAKING ENOUGH TOYOTA TRANSFORMERS!

I mean really, is it too much to ask for a supra, celica, corolla, scion xa, scion tc? any of them? I have to resort to roadbots?

They should've just get their effort that they put in their in a more authentic TF line.. before we know it the minicons will transform into small cutesy animals as well and we've got to catch them all..

Nothing compares to the auhtenic feeling of Alt/Binal

It is amazing no one mentioned the mistake hasbro made with transformers alternators. What I mean by a mistake is the fact that they made them out of plastic unstead of how they did the binaltech ones in japan out of die cast metal yeah I know they would have been more expensive but I also think that they would have been alot more sturdy and less prone to breaking. Not that I have every had any of my alternators break I have had doors pop off but heck you just pop them back on.

Actually, the plastic ones are more sturdy. Ever try and pose a BT? Most of them are too heavy. They are AWESOME in alt mode, but alts blow them away when it comes to poseability.

So let me get this straight.....you have never had one break, but you're complaining about them being sturdy? And the price would skyrocket if they were metal. Plus I hear the binaltechs are a bitch to pose and the joints give out because of the weight.

Yeah, the alternaters are fine as is. The BTs are especially tough to pose on glass shelves and the feet seem to slip all over the place. I can pose an alt jumping on one leg with ease. BT = not happening.

Let me point out again though, the BT line looks Fabulous in alt mode. Blows the alternaters away in that dept.

Here is the ULTIMATE mistake. Not making a big ass Broadside that could hold the seekers easily and in scale when in aircraft carrier mode while US toy safety laws still allowed for it.

Would have given Fort Max a run for his money.

never had BTs so i dunno if they're a mistake or not.

BM rattrap though. horrible, horrible implementation and is very far from the series design. as are most of the TFs designed for Beast Machines. :-x

Biggest Single Mistake...ever????

Ending the Generation One saga with Beast Machines!! Nuff said.....the toy lines were horrible.. they should have contracted Mainframe to render Beast Wars Neo in CG and released Big Convoy (Maximal Prime), Lio Convoy (Leo Prime), and Galvatron and Magmatron should have all been in one series, set in the future with optimal optimus or Optimus Primal getting yanked from time to help with the final destruction of Unicron...Posative reasons for this..?

U.S Release of "choice" Beast Wars Neo characters, Hasbro only had to import them...

Rereleases of the Optimus Primal and Optimal Optimus Molds..easy as well..

continuity would have been restored..

the only real new mold would have been the Unicron, which would have sold out like Disani water in Iraq!!!

To go the Beast Machines sudo new age storyline and crappy story lines after another.. was just IMHO, one of the Greatest Blunders of the whole transformers Universe..

Hasbro had so much Potential story and figures from Japanese Beast Wars series, that all they need do, was develop it into a new story line from Mainframe...it would have been cheaper..

And if this offends any of you Bewast Machines fans.. I am completely sorry.. It's just my opinion.. I never really liked Beast Machines.. or the toys.. Beast Wars, Beast Wars 2, and Beast Wars NEO were some of my favorite series ever!!

I would exclude some Beast Wars Neo and Beast Wars 2 characters, like the Mack daddy Flavor-Flav clock wearing squirrel..

The biggest mistake for me is a personal one. The killing of Optimus Prime in the '86 movie. I understand why (making way for new toys) and I see how it really cemented things for a lot of people. For that reason alone I understand.

But.

It really messed the little 9 year old me up. So much so that I stopped watching the show all together. It wasn't until I was in my mid 20's that I found out they brought him back, and by that time it was too late. Well, almost. I have since started watching the various shows and I want to get into BW and just find out how much I haven't seen. Unfortunately I think I really lost something back then when my imagination was still ruled by childish innocence.

We all lost a little something, and I had the same issues too, I didn't even know they brought him back till I was 23.

However I did learn a valuable lesson from that as a kid...cherish what you enjoy while you can......cause sooner or later other people will screw it up!!! like what I said earlier... Beast Wars was in itself a sweet ass series, continuity was for the most part intact, Megatron was defeated..

Edit: the decision to cut the part out where Optimal optimus removes the Spark of G-1 Megatron from TM2 Megatron's chest, and place it back in the originals, left a whole in the ending of that series..That should be cleaned up and added back into the DVD compilations..to fix the error!!!

but along comes some other people who screwed it up with Beast Machines and Zen meditation transformations!!!

Worst mistake Hasbro makes: Allowing Prime to die in the movie.

Worst mistake that we as fans still have to deal with: Beast Machines toys, they are unfortunately bad. Not individually, but as a line. Total lack of scale, inaccurate colors, and in some cases entirely inaccurate molds.

I can agree with the scale thing, sometimes it seems things were the exact opposite they should be. They made Rattrap and Nightscream HUGE and left Optimus and Megatron small.

Other than that, I'm not sure what was first, the design for the toys or the designs for the series. Whichever screwed them up should take the blame for inaccuracy. However, I liked most of the vehicons as toys. They may not have been show accurate, but I thought some of them look pretty cool.

Worst mistake in Transformers was Pokemon...I mean, Mini-Cons. As figures some of them are good, as a gimmick, gag me with a plug wrench.

Other than that, I would have said Action Masters...the idea was a bit mind-numbing. It may have survived as a sub-line, instead of hinging the entire line on such a horrible concept (well not all, there was Micromaster which had long since became hollow and boring). However, I can't get myself to admit that I hate them. I actually kind of like the figures, and Banzi-Tron and Krok rank as two of my favorite figs of all time. Don't know why.

2nd that and the death of OP in the 1st TFM in '86. Worst mistake ever by them which they corrected but too late.
BWOP: "Die-cast construction...It's a lost art!"

Longs for the days of G1 where we only had to worry about Megatron, Soundwave and Laserbeak wanting to be Autobots, Swoop calling himself Tracks and Slingshot calling himself Slingslot!
