I can confirm with 100% honesty that Takara is working on an in scale MP Fortress Maximus. And it comes with the Master Sword and a Unicron Head.
I know this from a reliable German webstore owner, who personally saw the finished product at Hasbro Germany's headquarters, they invited him and would only show it to him. He says that it's definitely MP 26.

I'm definitely not making this up, the guy was right before, he knew about MP Skywarp and Soundwave! Also he knew that Hasbro would make an Optiomus Prime for Age of Extinction.

You left out the part about Fort Max having a Pretender Shell. Not one for Cerebros (a la Grand Maximus), but one for the full-sized Citybot. And the shell looks like a roided out Sergeant Slaughter.

Yup! That guys business partner, a Turkish rug merchant, also 100% confirmed that Takara is genetically engineering a flying pig.

I actually met Sergeant slaughter once, nice guy but stern as hell.

And Dead Metal's line about Optimus is amazing.

Sorry, but that'S not true. They are working on a Pretender shell, but it doesn't look like Slaughter, that's the shell for MP Scorponok, the Fort Max Shell is actually modeled after Arnold Schwarzenegger from Conan. Which makes sense considering it comes with the Master Sword.

Hmm, guess they changed their minds during production and gave it to Scorponok. Though, missed opportunity for them to switch to doing a Conan shell for Fort Max instead of a Link shell (what with that Master Sword and all).

The missle firing boba fett figure actually exists and several have been found. Even the toy hunter programme found one.

Though this talk of mp 27 is nothing to what a trusted source told me. They (someone who knew someone who knew someone who lived with a guy who knew someone who hacked Hasbro computers after they had a just - so-you-know memo from TT) said that mp 30 was a to scale Unicron that would be placed near the gundam statue so they could Duke it out before being weaponized for the use of TT/hasbro in their world domination scheme.

Seriously though how often are these reports right?

Well, the 1986 Unicron toy exists also, but that doesn't mean that a kid down the street ever had one.
These reports are not really reports, that's what chaps my ass. It seems like when there used to be rumor threads, they had a bit of truth to them, or if there wasn't, it was a bit more restrained. Lately, it's like a one up contest of who can come up with something that people will latch on to, and sit back and sit back and watch the chaos that ensues. I'm really interested to find out what is really coming down the pike, and it pisses me off to no end when someone pulls out a 'friend of a friend' story that has no basis in fact whatsoever. People know that we're approaching the release dates of the last known MPs, which is usually when the next one is revealed, and every crazy theory is being thrown at the wall to see what sticks. If you're just guessing, say so, and have fun with that, but don't try to shroud your guess in nonexistent credibility. Yes, some of these 'reports' turn out to be true, but a broken clock is right twice a day. This is a terrific hobby, with literally something for everyone, but there's no place for this garbage. If I wanted to be lied to, I'd follow politics.

 Rumors has it MP-28 Hound won't be a new mold, It's going to be a repacked Binal-Tech Hound put inside a Masterpiece Box. With a updated instructions booklet that replaces the words Binal-tech with Masterpiece. This rumor is from the waiter that overheard the recent Takara and Hasbro conference meeting.

 Other rumors abound from the janitor that empties the waste baskets over at the Takara office. The Janitor claims he has a crumbled up piece of paper that confirms MP-29, MP-30 and MP-31 will be Dirge, Thrust and Ramjet. The Janitor claims the budget couldn't afford to remold the MP seekers wings. So Takara is going to use the CHUG seekers cone heads toys. Give them articulated fingers, then label them MP TF toys.

Sorry if this was already discussed as this thread got really, really derailed, but was that a reissue Trypticon in among the Astrotrain, Blitzwing, et. al.? I think we had confirmation of the Coneheads from the packaging of the Insecticons. Could we finally be getting a Trypticon re-release? (And I wouldn't mind a Blitzwing and Astrotrain.)

#-o No, 幻灯 means "magic lantern", 幻灯片 means slide (or if you want to be very literal it means "magic light sheet"). You don't use literal translations for Asian languages. Each individual character means something but their grouping means something specific. The only assumption Chroma 23 made was in trying to figure what Kidzhao was talking about, but he was off by saying it was for viewing a slide show, he was thinking projector, too. 能看幻灯片 translates into "can see slides". You do realize that the little thin piece of glass you look at under a microscope are called slides right? That makes his canon a slide viewer, or in other words a working microscope just like the original.

Me too, and I'm afraid to find out how expensive. If the three Insecticons are US$80 where does that put Trypticon? US$150? Let's see if Kmart goes for it at that price.

I think we had confirmation of the Coneheads from the packaging of the Insecticons. Could we finally be getting a Trypticon re-release? (And I wouldn't mind a Blitzwing and Astrotrain.)

This is going to be an expensive year for me... #-o

As they seem to be getting more and more comfortable with raising the prices on reissues- insecticons at $80, I think I read coneheads at $100- Trypticon could be very pricey, so you may want to buy a book of ramen noodle recipes

If I wanted to be lied to, I'd follow politics.

if a MP Lord of chaos did exist ... i wouldn't doubt that Amazon exclusive Unicron with Dead end which was retooled for G1 cartoon accuracy as i saw Baltmatrix do a review on it would be used for the figure >:oP
