It does look pretty decent. I think what it needs is more bulk in the lower legs, and it needs to have updates for the black guns too. I'd still prefer if it was actual armor for Classics Prime, but I can see how that would be less true to the original concept.

I know we now have shots from all round, colour and b&w (except a butt shot with Prime inserted), but a full colour final look will be good.

Trying to work out how tall he stands, looks twice the height of Voyager Prime so that will put him up there with all the Leader/Masterpiece editions!

His comment is within the rules and comfort zone of PG 13, so there is nothing wrong with it.

I sold it when I bought the Henkei version. I just wasn't thinking ahead and didn't see at the time the point of having two of them. If I bought this then it would have to have its own dedicated prime figure.

I agree...even if it's supposed to homage the original, I think it looks ridiculous. It looks like a robot parking garage or something. They did **** like this back then because they weren't very good at it. Most figures also didn't have independent, split legs...if they did that now I'd think it just as ass.

I think you're looking at it. I doubt Takara was going to make one, and after this piece comes out, they will definitely not do it, they've been beaten to the punch.

And I agree with Dead Metal, there's nothing wrong with Sodan-1's comments. It was funny. Matter of fact, if I collected by that rule, I'd have saved a lot of money over the years... :lol:

I was pretty skeptical at first, but this is starting to look pretty impressive. I wish they'd show a picture with the original G1 Prime mold. Something tells me it might not stick out as far as the other two, though I could be wrong. Also, full color pictures would be sweet and have a heavy effect on my decision. What's the pricetag on this baby?

I've found Fansproject's Powered Commander to be a good Powermaster Prime for my CLassics collection.

One step closer to having me cough up money I can ill afford to spend. I'm loving the articulation. That was my one big issue with PM Prime. He was the epitome of "Block-Formers" and back then it was frustrating to see toys like Voltron come out and have awesome articulation for what it was and not have Prime be able to measure up to that. This updated version totally counters that but I'm having a bit of a hard time with how far back his head sits, or rather how far forward the cab sticks out in relation to the rest of the body. I know it does with the regular PM Prime but this thing looks like it will be front heavy. I don't want to be afraid to step heavy in my own room for fear that he'll fall forward and take out everything in front of him on the display shelf. I'll wait for the final round of color pics before I make my final decision.

Robot mode is looking pretty good, though I would be happier with more bulk on the lower legs. I kind of dig that they kept the "shove the folded cab in the chest" look from the original Ginrai.

I'm not sold on the trailer mode. I'd really like to see a true side view of it hooked to both cabs, and of course the whole shebang in final colors.

If the trailer doesn't look totally stupid and the QC is acceptable I'll probably bite, though I don't exactly relish the thought of having to track down two more Henkei Convoys....

Back to the figure itself - I like it even more than before. Too bad it very likely will cost an arm & a leg.

As for the TFs fans who don't like the figure - you don't have to like it. But why the negativity?

I didn't care for the vast majority of Bayverse TFs, but I didn't feel the need to get all negative about it.

The powermaster engine appears to have a matrix embedded in it. And it just kind of sits there, jutting out of the grille like a malignant carbuncle. They need to fix that, stat.
