Finally got more clear coat, so I decided to finally get started on a project I've been wanting to do for a while: Repainting my Bungledbee Bumblebee-edition TR Soundwave into Soundblaster. Just a repaint, modifying him to hold two Spy Tablets is a bit beyond me. I'll just say that sacrificing the rapid deployment capability was a necessary tradeoff for the larger body.

So, here is Soundwave almost entirely disassembled (the hip pins flat-out refused to budge, but I got everything else separated), with the two stickers placed on wax paper until they're needed again.

So, I've now got everything sanded (except the chest door pieces) and ready for painting. I also fixed some soldering iron damage on the piece above that happened during pin removal.

I want to ask people's opinion on something. I was thinking of painting the remote/MP3 player (whichever it's supposed to be) rocket sled in blue and silver to reference Soundblaster's original incarnation as Soundwave. What do people think of that idea?

I like the silver/blue idea for the extra accessory thing. Excited to see progress on this!
