And now Lugnut from a totally different line in my point of view, comes in and steals away the glorious victory of Grapple spotlight! Not only that i dont seeing Lugnut fitting in the Genline/Classics at all or any line in my opinion when he's from the animated line to begin with. Sorry for the rant about this, but TFA line is one line i never got into and didn't care for and yes i saw the cartoons and thought they was too childish as well with the toys, but thats me.

a) Unless I'm mistaken, hardly anyone is trashing Grapple. I recall someone not liking his head, but most people seem to love him (provided he doesn't end up too yellow).
b) Heaps of fans are very happy to see Animated characters cross into other continuities. If that doesn't float your boat, that's cool, just don't buy Luggers
Speaking of Lugnut, does anyone know if he has all five eyes? I can only see the one.

I was about to ask the same thing. It looks like he'll have only one optic. It would've been great to see the other four but I suppose that's cool.

He's an un-wed mother.
(We're hoping it's a Roller.)

Guess his allegiance?
But what...don't look at his wings too hard? lol He's doubling down on you not paying attention.

Apologies for being pedantic, but they didn't have any jet powered transport aircraft in WWII. Only a couple of fighters near the end. Lugnut's alt-mode is a bit of a chimera. Makes me think of some kind of steam punk vehicle. He's still bitching awesome. What's everyone's thoughts on his aesthetics; movie or Classics?
The thing that winds me up the most about Grapple is that Hasbro obviously know that the fans want him in that kind of orange (otherwise they wouldn't photoshop the images to look that way), so why not just paint him orange instead of that bright yellow we saw a few weeks back?

Hmm... I think Lugnut fits in well with the Classics/Generations line moreso than the movie line. There's not a lot of "movie kibble" to make this figure scream "movie" line. Of course that's not to say that he wouldn't fit in the movie line as well. He's a versatile figure in that respect much like Lockdown and Seaspray as someone mentioned earlier. But my personal opinion on Lugnut is that of Classics/Generations aesthetics. In the end, it's up to the owner to place him in whatever line he/she wishes to.

I think you might wanna stay away from the spiked Energon drinks and look again! Theres no way that Lugnut fits into the classics line or Genline at all! I can see the movie-bayverse line or back to the animated line, but thats it.
I think this anticipation of new figures has some people thinking this way and that!!!

Nah, he'll fit in with Classics/Gen nicely. He has none of the spikeyness of the movie line with all it's little panels of metal. It has the slightly blockyish look of classics. The feet are the only thing that might look movieish - but Lugnut has always had feet with two big 'toes' on them.
Though I'll probably get the Takara version, which will totally stand out on the shelf a bit, what with the metallic purple and all, but I'm cool with that.
