Out of interest, what was the highest recorded (minicon/botmode free) strafe you guys saw?Burn wrote:Plus it'll NEVER be as cool as the 100% & 150% Strafe Clubs.![]()
The 200% Strafe Club was never cool because it only had one member. hehehe
Caelus wrote:What I think might be nice, is if the number of alt modes available for a given bot increased as you leveled up.

pRedimus wrote:I like this idea too, it's always bugged me that there are fortmax alts floating around at lvl 0.
And if you've all gotten over the shock of me agreeing with my No.1 fan...
Max_Prime wrote:You can come up with more but just to name a few would be something like. 100% health in the Arena, 10+ Avoids in a Mission, have 4+ Kills in one Strafe Attack, 8+ Rams in a Mission, Sole Survivor etc.

That's about whats id guessed at.Burn wrote:it was around 120%-130%.
I agree, and its something id love to implement, but im thinking along the lines of what the staff themselves can actually do.Burn wrote:heh, if you can 120% it would want to be a pretty damn good reward/recognition.
This is still where it'd be handy to have "medals" in a bots profiles to go along with their bios and what nots.
Thats what i'm hoping for, once an award is won then its kept.Burn wrote:Then just go back to how it was with alt modes being given PERMANENTLY to players who achieve things.

Wow, I remember trying to make a bunch of medals for that very purpose back when I was a Decepticon.

So i'll throw this out there, Player A achieves something and is rewarded with an alt mode of their choosing, they choose one from the player made thread and it's added in.
A few months down the track, Player B achieves something and is given the same reward of choosing their alt mode. What happens if they want the alt mode Player A chose? Should they be denied the chance to have a cool alt?
Tough call. But I guess you have to say to Player B, "it's unique for a reason".
Frankly I think giving players the choice to add in an alt mode of THEIR choosing from the player made thread is wrong. If alts are going to be added they should be a staff decision, or as we did in the past, have players submit a list of the ones they'd like with the most popular getting added.
Then just go back to how it was with alt modes being given PERMANENTLY to players who achieve things.

If player A & B agree to both use it, there is no issue. But there is also no reason why player B cant pick a similar alt for their award, there are millions of different Starscream images to chose from, finding a new one shouldn't be that hard.
In fact, the award could be anything people want to use for the alt pic. (within reason.)
All this is just brainstorming at the monent as im still finding my feet as staff, but I think its a good way to adding a new aspect to the game, especially as a sizeable chunk of players players here are collectors.

What were we going to do with them though? Were we going to use them in bios/profiles or just sigs?
