...but one thing that will never get old is seeing Optimus Prime transform. In each movie Prime has a scene in which he transforms while in conversation with someone (TF1: introduction to Sam and Mikaela; ROTF: Optimus talking to that douchebag Director Galloway; DOTM: talking to Dir. Mearing in the NEST hangar) and each time I completely mark out for it. Especially the first one; there's nothing like the first one...

Yes, in 07 movie it was the most epic scene with most epic music.

Not just Optimus, I think many of movie's transformation are well done. I've seen Prime's alley introduction transformation numerous times and never get tired of it. Sideswipe's "clear a path" and transform is well done. If you pay enough attention, in DOTM Chicago battle scene between Sentinel against Sideswipe, Bumblebee, and Ratchet, Sentinel grabbed Sideswipe and tossed him aside, and at the same time in this short amount of time Bumblebee jumped back, transformed to car moving backward, and then transformed back to robot. This is excellently done.

My favorite Prime transformation is at the beginning of RotF when he gets dropped out of the plane and transforms into bot mode. Then, for the first time in Bayverse, we see him transform into truck mode when he lands. My overall favorite transformation is a tie between Megatron's first shot in DotM and Ironhide's transformation also at the beginning of RotF.

This might sound weird, but one of the two main reasons I watch the movies is for the robots transforming. The other is the action.

My favourite Transformer transformations are still those of Blackout. I particularly like his transformations during the Mission City fight, the way he transformed from chopper to bot while still in the air at one point and almost daintily stepped down onto the ground (for something so large and heavy, that is). And when he reverses it, leaping up and transforming almost instantly into chopper mode, I think that’s also pretty cool. I like when Megatron and Starscream do the jump and transform in midair into their aero modes too. No runways required for these jets!

Optimus Prime’s very first transformation from truck to bot in that alley always makes me think of the earth-in-upheaval scene in Disney’s animated Rite Of Spring sequence, just the way his parts kept collapsing in on themselves, then thrusting out and mounting higher and higher. I couldn’t have asked for a better, more awesome intro.

Not weird at all. These were 2 big reasons I wanted to see the movie as well. When Blackout transformed for the first time at the military base, I creamed my undies just a little. For some reason I got the same feeling in DotM when Megatron transformed. Very elaborate transformation sequence for such an unfortunately maligned character.

Yeah Prime's introduction in 2007 was awesome.

But my favorite one is in DotM when he transforms in a fit of rage after Ironhide promptly tells him to snap out of it, it was so intense because i was scared at the thought of Prime being close to yelling loudly or punching something in a fit of rage.

TF07- Every time Blackout transforms for the first time I can't help but grin ear to ear. Optimus' intro and transformation still gives me chills. I also LOVE when he bursts out from the alley in Mission City and transforms in the street right before confronting Megs.

ROTF- Ironhide's intro and transformation and Optimus falling from the plane and transforming back to a truck upon landing

DOTM- Definitely Bumblebee's slo-mo transformation on the freeway while grabbing Sam and placing him inside (similar when Bumblebee jumps and grabs Sam and Lennox after Starscream explodes)
