ZeroWolf wrote:I was a bit suprised to read that article, I guess Hasbro don't want to be restricted by Toei's offerings anymore (or more simply, don't want to pay them)

Sabrblade wrote:Then again, people were saying that Go-Busters wouldn't work as a PR adaptation, yet Allspark Pictures impressively pulled it off in ways that haven't been done since Go-Onger was turned into RPM.
ZeroWolf wrote:True on all accounts, what's the current super Sentai series? ToQger was the series before what became Dino Charge wasn't it?
ZeroWolf wrote:Thanks now I remember Uchuu Sentai Kyuranger, some people speculated that Toei had made that show to be perfect power ranger fodder, citing all the extra rangers
Jelze Bunnycat wrote:To be perfectly fair, would you see any of these Sentai being adapted?
Ressha Sentai ToQger
Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger
Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger
From what I see, they all have elements that may not translate well or would be too... tame? Rainbow-colored trains, Minecraft ripoff, or cops and robbers? I suppose it's possible, but the deviations made would be too much for some.
Jelze Bunnycat wrote:Uchuu Sentai Kyuranger I could see being adapted without that many changes (just don't say "Zodiac" because that's only 12/13 out of the 88!)...
Jelze Bunnycat wrote:Dinosaur-based series have always done well AFAIK, to the point Korea skipped Lupinranger vs. Patranger, so I could see that happening. On the other hand, Kyuranger could have been made into an In Space throwback, but 88+ Constellations?

Sabrblade wrote:The thing about Hasbro not renewing their contract with Toei that doesn't make sense is that Hasbro would still have to do so if they even want to continue marketing MMPR and other past seasons since those still use designs from Zyuranger and onward that are still owned by Toei. When Hasbro bought Power Rangers from Saban, they didn't also buy the rights to Zyuranger from Toei, so Hasbro pretty much has to continue cooperating with Toei if they even still want to market the Zyuranger (and Dairanger in the White Ranger's case) designs in new MMPR merchandise. Hasbro can't go it alone if they want to continue banking on MMPR nostalgia.
ZeroWolf wrote:Regarding the Future of Power Rangers as a series, if they went animated they could start adapting arcs of the Boom! Comics
ZeroWolf wrote:I really want the mini-pla releases (not just for sentai but for GaoGaiGar) but the prices are eye watering for someone on a shoestring budget.
As first discovered by @MegaPowerBrasil a few months ago we can now confirm -
#PowerRangers is LEAVING Netflix (except MMPR, Ninja Steel, and Beast Morphers) on January 31st/February 1st.
No word if it will move to TubiTV like other Hasbro properties.

This sucks on so many levels, you just never know what's going on with someone.
