Well, America did make some of its own Tokusatsu-esque shows (for better or worse).Wigglez wrote:Am I the only one who thinks that they should've kept bringing more than Super Sentai to the U.S.? There were Beatleborgs, VR Troopers, and 2 Kamen Rider shows. But that's about it. I think they should at least bring Kamen Rider W over

After those 2 attempted Kamen Rider adaptations, I don't think anyone else would be willing to try it, much as I'd enjoy it if they did.Wigglez wrote:Am I the only one who thinks that they should've kept bringing more than Super Sentai to the U.S.? Ryuki's the only one I watched, but mostly cuz I wanted to see how it compared/contrasted with KRDK.LOST Cybertronian wrote:Interested to see what Kamen Rider Ghost is about. Gaim is the only Kamen Rider show that's kept my attention.

Agreed on that last one. Mystic Knights of Tir na Nog was pretty decent for a US-made tokusatsu. Tattooed Teenage Alien Fight from Beverly Hills? Ehhh... not so much, and that's putting it mildly. Avoid!
Back when I watched it, it was on Veoh (anyone remember that site?). It might still be on there if you'd wanna try watching it again (it was TV-Nihon's fansubbed version).JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:I can't watch Kamen Rider Ryuki because well... it was pulled from the site I was watching it from. And I wasn't that far into it (short from the debut of Zolda)!![]()

Though, ever seen KRDK?
I enjoyed it for what it was, and actually kinda prefer it over Ryuki for the simple fact that it, unlike Ryuki, was not a total depression fest.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:And no, I haven't seen Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, nor do I plan to in the near future. From what I've seen tho, it's closer adaptation than Saban's Masked Rider will ever be.

That Bot wrote:Good grief, everybody else in this thread is a bunch of freaking casuals who need to get on my level and watch more toku. I believe the Henshin Fever page on facebook has streams if that's your preference, but the best way to get anything is torrents (go to nyaa.se) and direct downloads (go to krdl.info). Everybody's homework is to start one or two new shows before Ghost starts. Got it?

Funny story: the TV-N Agito subs are stolen from the existing, completed subs, themselves a reworking of the old pay-to-own Cruel Angel VHS translations. You're better off just watching the Midnight Crew Kuuga subs and GomenRider Agito, TVN has about 30 shows on backburner and it's going to take them years to get through it.

Eric Chor wrote:The belt's jingle is "Bacchiriminaa" バッチリミナー
The dual sound pun is "Pacchiriminaa"
-minaa is an imperative command, like KyoryuRed's "Tometemina!" Literally "Stop me!", taken as "Try to stop me!"
Bacchiri means "perfectly" or "properly"
Pacchiri means "eyes that are open wide"

If that's the real price, it's going to drop so fast, because I am not paying $200 for it. I only paid $100 for Legacy Titanus.
