It replaces a part on Scattershot (I don't remember MT's name) that isn't quite right. It's the part that holds the shield and nose cannon/Energon bow. In the pics, the maroon one is the original from MT. On mine, in starship mode, the piece featured here sits slightly deformed, even though everything else is pegged in properly. There's a tab on this piece that is supposed to tab into the main body of Scattershot that doesn't because of a gap caused by the deformation. If you'd like, I can try to take a pic later tonight.

It's not a huge deal to me, but I might pick this fix up if it is cheap enough. I'm actually surprised MT didn't send out a replacement. I suppose with Quantron being a full box set there was no real opportunity for easily getting a fix out to customers.

I see. That actually makes sense and if I ever get Quantron I might pick this up.

But they did sent out replacement Celeritas neck joint when the set came out. It was shipped to me from BBTS with the Quantron set when it first arrived, but people who ordered from Asian sites would need to either contact their seller or MakeToys directly because they received their sets prior to the replacement piece being available. So, MT could've sent out a replacement if they believed there was a destructive flaw in it.

I own Quantron and I dont get the point of this. I suppose its some kind of cosmetic fix for picky people. I could care less what his back looks like.

More than just the back. Do you have him in cruiser mode much? There are some issues in that mode too, though minor in my estimation. I could see some wanting them fixed. I'll see if I can get a pic posted tomorrow....

I could definitely benefit from the picture, since I also don't see any difference. Currently, my Quantron is in combined mode and he is such a hassle to transform into his individual alt modes that I would rather just keep him displayed as such.
