So it's just turned tuesday here. I'll give it half an hour and then the sign up thread closes. Anyone who wants to join after the thread closes had better make a good case for why they are late :lol:

After that, you have til Thursday to organise yourselves and ask any questions about the rules. Then it's game on!

And so begins the Silent Night.

Starting today begins the latest in the history of HMW Tournaments, The Silent Night.

The HMW Staff have put together, for you, the playing public, a tournament with a couple of different games, backed up by not one, but two stories.

Our first story will be tournament driven and involves both Autobots and Decepticons racing to obtain technology that could change the war.

Our second story will be told out over a number of days, it's a story told from the future about the past.

The HMW Staff encourage as many of you that are active HMW players to join in, and if you're not an active HMW player, then we hope you enjoy our stories we've put together for you. Everyone is of course welcome to join us for smack talk, feedback, or just a bit of insanity in the Silent Night banter thread

But for now, The Silent Night begins from Mission #122500!

Battle 1) Land War. (general game population)
Only mission links ending in 5 or a 0 count towards the factions total.
Missions with less than 2 on either side are discounted.
The War lasts for 12 days, 22/12/11 to 02/01/12
All players regardless of Forum involvement are included in this game

Not sure if the whole 2 in a mission rule is in effect Steve. When i counted missions before it was no opposition or oppostion. Then again different tournie.

I think that's only for the 0/5 missions Vic...the scalp hunt rules part said "all missions" so I thought it meant all regardless of number of entrants but I guess Psychout will have to clarify

Just checked the rules. You are right, Rolltide. All missions are legal for the scalphunt, provided I get the kill on a participating team. Cool. :KREMZEEK:

That's right, any and all missions are legal for the scalp hunt, well spotted Rolltide.

Sideways, when you kill another players cons, record the mission link and details (player name and time of kill from the mission log) and edit it into the post you made in the sign up thread. When you have 6 from any team, post them in the capturing thread and we'll do the rest.
You do need to record your kills yourself, but the main game is automatic. Kinda. (You still need to enter the mission manually like normal.)

One thing to quickly mention - 6 different bots from a team please. Multiple kills can be recoded but the 6 listed must be different. (storing up the extras is always a good idea though... :twisted:

)
