Seriously, just sell the damned thing!!!

Sorry, off & on out of the loop on new stuff. What's this G1Uppers Firemaster upgrade?? Does it go with Classics Optimus??

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.
Cyber_Tek wrote:"Which armor/trailer sets are you referring, out of curiosity? Just wanting to make sure there's not some Classics Prime material out there I'm not either in possession of or looking to pick up already."
I've been looking at Classic Prime and Ultra Magnus. So far, I've noticed these armor sets for them at TFSource.com:
*Classics City Commander Trailer set- $249
*TFCon Powered Convoy- $259
And then there is this Vector Zeta Slagacon 2011 Exclusive at $175? Seems a bargain compared to the other two armors. But aren't there other armor sets that care compatible with the Classics Prime?
Cyber_Tek wrote:WOW. And since all of those armor sets only work with the Classics Prime's/Classics Ultra Magnus/Classics Nemesis, then one of the Classics Prime variants is next on my list.
Cyber_Tek wrote:Yea, but the Classics figures are cheaper than the armor. I found a Classics OP for $69. Think I better order that one right now. Too bad the PP01 has no armor options. I was going to go that route but eh, not at this time.

yes you are right about that, also I've been searching for years to find a good price for both, so you're very lucky!

I pulled the trigger on that order. TFSource.com. Around $80 plus shipping. Everywhere else, the same Classics OP was $80 or more before shipping. The Ultra Magnus was $99, so Classics OP it is. It will be very economical to have one OP that is compatible with multiple armor sets. It may even be compatible with my G1 Trailer. We shall see. And I should note that I got a Japanese Classics Prime, not the American Walmart Exclusive Classics Prime, if that matters.
I'm going to ask because I don't know, but what is bad about "resin", regarding the Vector Zeta?

Not quite. It's for the SDCC Nemesis Prime. No current armor or trailer is specifically for Shattered Glass Optimus.godzillabot wrote:I'm not really sure, I think that resin when used in toys becomes rather fragile
I've got a couple of resin items (most through Shapeways mind you) but I've never had any problems with fragility.

For the Optimus mold I currently have the first run City Commander (with the FP upgrade missiles and rifle) for Magnus, the FP G3 trailer for Optimus Prime, and the BTS-01B Nemesis Command Center for Nemesis Prime.
If I do manage to pick up the Vector Zed (or whatever random gibberish they call it) I'm not sure if I'd put it on the Classics Prime or the Henkei Convoy.
And after seeing those prices the mold goes for I'm glad I picked them up at retail or on preorder!

Yeah I agree. Depending on how the resin is made, it isn't brittle or will fall apart in your hands but it should be handled with care.
There has been a lot of interest in our exclusive for Slagacon 2011, the Vector Zeta armor set, and we thank everyone who’s purchased one so far. One of the most common requests we’ve seen, both here and on TF fan boards across the ‘net, is the desire for a non-attendee package. After much deliberation, we’ve decided to open up Vector Zeta to the general public.
Here’s how it will work:
On the “Pre-registration” page will be a new category, “Non-Attendee”. This is where you’ll be able to order the Vector Zeta armor. A non-attendee set will run $190 + shipping & handling. Shipping will be via USPS using Flat Rate Priority Mail, and includes insurance and delivery confirmation (where available).
All non-attendee packages will be mailed out shortly after the convention in October. If you’ve already ordered a Vector Zeta armor set along with the Attendee package, and aren’t able to make it to the convention, we’ll contact you after the convention to arrange for shipping/handling payment.
We thank you for having patience with us as we work through our growing pains. We hope to see you at Slagaon 2011!
“Vector Zeta” is the name we have given a new custom armor set, designed to work with Hasbro’s Classics Optimus Prime figure. This cast resin kit will be distributed completely assembled, along with a sheet of stickers for additional detailing. The creator of this set has limited his production to 100 sets. Because of this, and the cost of production, we’ve set our price at $175 for the kit.
In 2012, we will have second set to work with this one, inspired by the “Apex Armor” from Hasbro’s “Powermaster Optimus Prime”. This will include a second trailer, as well as two smaller figures, one of which transforms into a new head for the figure. We do not yet have a price for this set, but will post it as soon as it is available.
