Yep, if you read my other post on general discussion i said the site is updated. Well i seen soundwave and it said his vehicle mode is a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. I for one dont like it. I liked him in satellite form. Yay.

Soundwave as a Mercedes? What is he, a UN representative?

I'm with the majority here; he's best given an army communications vehicle as an alt mode.

Ok I to wished Soundwave was an communications vehicle,or a SUV of some sort,but he IS a decepticon spy as well.He could be disquising him self as the mercedes to retrieve info that he hears from sam and carly.

PS i also thought Soundwave was cool as a satilite as well

Yup. Seems like they changed his vehicle mode from SLS, back to the satalite. Maybe someone at hasbro dropped the ball to early?

Isn't he a little small to fit Laserbeak somewhere? He looks pretty big.

other than the video game, there was never any picture of him in robot mode. we've only seen shots of the car on set, but nothing in toy form .(at least not to my knoledge).
The info from hasbro's website only shows his bio, and states (well, used to at least) that his alt mode was a Mercades Benz SLS AMG. Now it states that he's a satalite.

Yea i think someone at hasbro either slipped up or mistakinly put down the mercedes

I would say it was a slip up, and they put down his alt mode in his bio to early.

I say there been fair reveals and secerts of both autobot and decepticons all the way around. There's no need to keep the orignal cast of autobots a secert since there alt modes haven't changed. But a few of the new ones have been kept under wraps just like a few of the Decepticons.

Autobots we have seen alt/bot modes

Optimus Prime- Peterbuilt truck
Ironhide- GMC Top Kick Medium duty truck
Ratchet- Hummer H2 Ambulance/recue vehicle
Bumble Bee- Chevy Camaro
Sentinal Prime- Rosenbaur Airport Fire truck
Sideswipe- Corvette Stingray
Leadfoot- Nascar
Topspin- Nascar
Roadbuster- Nascar

Autobots we don't know-

Blue Mercades- Possibly Wheeljack or "Brains"
Red Ferrari- 98% are sure its mirrage, but i guess we haven't had any offical confirmation on this. either way, we haven't seen a robot mode.
Steel jaw- Don't know if he's in the movie or not, but could be

Decepticons we have seen alt/bot modes

Megatron- Mack tanker truck
Starscram- F-22 raptor
Shockwave- Cybertron Tank
Dreads- Crankcase and ? - Both Chevy Suburban police vehicles

Decepticons we don't know-

Soundwave- Other than the video game, no altmode, or robot mode has been seen. And what confirmation was given, was removed from hasbro's site.
lazerbeak- We know he's in the movie, but haven't really seen a good picture of his alt mode (if any)

Armoured truck- Nothing

Hmm... I have a feeling i'm missing someone..

But i have a strong feeling that Soundwave going to be undercover as Carly's car as to spy and its revieled late in the movie who he is. This is probably why Bay and Co. wants to keep his alt mode under wraps till the movie.

But if you thik about it, it really does make sence. He is a decepticon spy and it makes sence as to why Bay & Co. wants to keep it under wraps. Could very well be a key part of the plot that we might have ruined for ourselves.

Im glad Soundwave has a new Earth mode. New mode=new toy, and my movie Soundwave's joints are so loose he can barely stand

So true. His whole robot mode is unstable because of too many joints without any snaping.

The only picture of DOTM Soundwave's robot mode is screencap from the game. It's hard to guess if it's really SLS or not. I need to search pictures of Rosie's SLS and compare it.

In the comic scans of DOTM we not only saw Soundwave in robot mode, we saw the Mercedes SLS transforming into that robot mode. Soundwave also captures Carly, which explains the scenes we saw of Carly with the Mercedes.
