Really sucks since Mom only wants to order off amazon, and this thing will not go down! dammit cyber monday and the following weeks better be bringing some price drops, this is pissing me off

I think it's only available from Amazon through other sellers. Maybe Amazon burned through their stock when they dropped the price to $109? Hopefully you can find it at a good price.
On a separate note, TRU has MP Bluestreak at $49.99. Is that a "steal of a deal?"
Platinum Trypticon in United States is officially bring sold directly from Amazon for $118.99!!! Please share with everyone the good news as it looks like it's only on sale for the next 15 hours

I'm thinking the exact same thing and also holding out. I'm guessing he's not selling well if Amazon dropped his price 2x, once for a few hours and then basically all day today. Maybe everyone is holding out lol

My take on this is that they know full well this is the right price we was supposed to be at or at least anywhere between 120-140$.

Interestingly enough, Hasbro will reveal the result tomorrow. Let's see if we regret passing on trypticon at $120.

I dont get why one would have to pass or not depending on the result. These two toys are for totally different collections. Any modern fan who is used to articulation would probably not see the appeal to G1 Trypticon and any fan of the G1 toys looking for a G1 trypticon in their collection wouldnt be satisfied by the new titan. What I am trying to say is that these are two different toys for two different collections and I dont see why one would replace the other or getting one is dependent on another existing or not. Each will intereact with the toys of their own generations anyway. At least thats how I see it.
For me, the reason I am not too excited about Titan Trypticon is because his transformation wont be that interesting or involved. It's a very basic Transformer, just as Metroplex was. That of course can have tremendous appeal to some.
nycPrime wrote: As a casual fan, I'm really only interested in having 1 toy per character, and preferably an updated toy vs an 80s reissue. As long as it resembles the G1 character, I'm happy. I personally don't care as much about sophistication of the transformation.
So in the case of trypticon, I would hate to spend $120 + tax on a reissue and then learn that an updated version that I would find more fun to play with is coming out relatively soon. If i knew that a titan version would never come out, I'd be perfectly happy with the reissue.

Do people think these are worth $75 apiece? The price aint bad, and while we get plenty of renditions of the original 3, the Coneheads are often passed up...

They do look pretty cool and I've seen some nice pics of them before. I think the igear coneheads look better and more interesting than their standard seekers.Hellscream9999 wrote:megatronus wrote:Looks like BBTS is back to their one-day sales. They actually look really cool, fits my sense of aesthetics pretty well, I'd say $75 isn't bad, especially if you need/like the look of them, I payed $60 for my Salvia Prominon, and these are a little bigger, right? So that seems fair.

If they are MP size/quality they may be worth $75. I think a better question is; if you're jumping in blind would you commit to $225 for three? I'd rather test the waters with one first.
