I can’t wait to see this figure.

Is this supposed to be a release for this year or next?
He is a 2024 release, yes, we've known this since the whole SS 2024 retail spread leaked back in August.

Well it’s interesting that I’ve taken note (literally documenting on my phone) of when SS86 figures are being released by wave/quarter, and last time I saw a list, Bee wasn’t included. He’s been on my “TBD” list, and because I never saw official word, he was even added to my 2025 list.
A leaked listing is one thing, but weird, sometimes figures gets shifted; we had semi-official images of Hound what, almost two years ago? And yet he didn’t make it onto my shelf until two and a half weeks ago. Hot Rod was seen in official packaged Velocitron shots, and never happened at all. Where’s re-packed Ramjet? Wasn’t he leaked before SS86 Bee?
Until the “space bridge” reveal on the stream, this new Bee has been at least somewhat up in the air in terms of a release timeframe.

If I had to hazard a guess, you probably missed it because Bee is supposed to be in that A-Level assortment with TF:One Optimus that's set up weird so retailers can order it all year, and not just in a standard Deluxe wave: https://www.seibertron.com/transformers ... ned/47868/ (although I absolutely get your point about listings being shuffled around and/or disappearing, it's happened a few times through Legacy and I think the Drift and Lifeline in that article are up in the air at the moment as well)

Replaced with Dirge and rescheduled for Legacy United Wave 5/the first wave of 2025.

"A Level" kinda sounds like how Universal Studios is able to keep stocking the DOTM Deluxe class molds of Optimus and Bumblebee in their theme park stores all these years after the DOTM toyline ended at mass retail.

That is, if they still are (I haven't been to a Universal Studios in 10 years).

I remember the “A-level assortment” in the listing, and at the time, that almost seemed made-up. I get it, it’s not, but I also thought there was a chance it was a mistake in some way…. Before then, why would the A-level be paired with a SS86 listing?
Also, if A-level means it’s going to be stocked all year, it extends my original question…. When is this SS86 Bee supposed to become available?
Obvsly it’s not June/mid-year, but how has the release at least in terms of either the corresponding wave, quarter, or just even flat-out date not available?
We’ve known about 4th quarter figures for months now…. And sure, I’m okay with surprise releases.
But this SS86 Bee isn’t one of those that unexpectedly springs up out of nowhere.
And it not an exclusive…. Just seems odd.

And to add to this, I was surprised that they showed Springer in the space bridge segment…. I thought he was 4th quarter…. Hastak seems to be waiting to reveal stuff until right before the release date. Of course showing an image of a character isn’t the same as showing a physical figure, but imo that was still weird and seems really early.

By no means am I complaining about these upcoming SS86 releases, but it’s almost crazy to me how much is coming out from the movie, when a pretty big anniversary year is just over a year and a half away. I think this is almost bugging me because I was hoping 2026 would have some incredible releases related to the movie. And knowing what we know, a lot of great stuff is happening between this year and next…
So what will be left for ‘26??

Found some photos of all 5 Dinobots…
Here are a couple of them in bot mode.
I’m not a huge fan of Swoop being shorter than the rest by this much, but thankfully he still looks incredibly good.

That is the exact size I wanted Swoop to be, so Im happy at least. Though I did want Sludge to be a head or 2 taller, as I like the IDW scaling. I understand theys all, almost, the same height in G1 cartoon. Finally having all Dinobots match and look awesome is a long time coming. I had them all as a kid as well. The circle is complete 40 yrs later ;)^

Swoop is accurate to the scale chart.

Scale Chart - Season 1 Autobots #2.jpg

The Dinobots are very large compared to most modern Leaders, Swoop is still a big figure even if he's the smallest of the five.

Heh, that scale chart is the only time the G1 cartoon versions of Jetfire and the Dinobots have ever been in the same room as each other. Too bad Gregg Berger never got to have a conversation with himself between Jetfire and Grimlock. :P

Next question…. Based on that chart Swoop and Optimus are the same height…
So is this Swoop figure a preview of how tall the CC Prime figure will be?

Hmm, maybe someone should do a side-by-side height comparison of Swoop with Earthrise Optimus.

Well wouldn't you simply have to look at how tall ER Prime is to Jetfire? I don't recall where ER Prime comes to on Jetfire, and for the moment I've got them all boxed up for a move. Though I thought it was about at crotch level. Perhaps Jetfire is too big?

What I think they should do is include is a 3" figure of Sparkplug with Commander Prime!

Someone said that ER Optimus is too small. Maybe the upcoming SS86 Commander Optimus Prime will fix that, along a better, COMPLETE trailer.

If SS86 Optimus is just the ER mold with a new trailer...... :-x

Yes that would be lame. As soon as I read it, I thought of them saying SS86 Springer is a bulked out Siege Springer, hehe. I am joking, I hope, lol. I have almost total confidence both will be awesome. The :TAKARATOMY: :HASBRO: design team are killing it lately. But after seeing MP Ginrai, I want a SS86(Masterforce type) Ginrai cab. Really I just like the wheels on his hips and smokestack placement, blue forearms look sweet too.

I'm still very confident that Optimus and Springer will be substantially larger. I'm very anxious to see both.
Once we see that OP, I'm also betting that will give us a preview of the size of SS86 Megatron.

I'd like to think that if we get a Ramhorn later he'd come with one as well.

His legs make me think this is what they would have used for Tigerchest if we ended up with Deathsaurus as a Commander Class instead of HasLab.

Well I got SS86 Blaster so I'll get Steeljaw. And that gold amplifier is pretty much guaranteeing that we get Ramhorn. But then will we get Rewind on his own a la Frenzy and Rumble, or in a 2-pack with someone else, like Soundwave's other cassettes?

Every time they've shown characters in that Spacebridge segment at the end of a stream in the past, those figures then immediately were shown next stream, so Bee should be guaranteed.

I haven’t watched every stream, even after it was live, so thanks for that info; I didn’t know that was the case.
Interesting, because the leaked news had Springer as wave 4, so revealing him today seems too early.
But I’m all for it.
It will also be interesting to see if any preorders then also start today.

Kinda lame just one side is painted grey. What, was there not enough room in the budget? Are we getting a premium release later on that gives him better legs and that small circle of grey  ?

Oh, well. Just glad to get him, really. If they can get Ramhorn and Buzzsaw out this cassette journey will have actually been worth it.

Don't count on it. The new Rumble and Frenzy are better looking than the originals, but the only moving part they gained was feet.
