I have to say for what it is, this isn't a bad little figure.
It really should have waist rotation, but still it's not too shabby.
The face (or lack thereof) actually doesn't bother me that much. I think because it's such a small figure, that it still works overall.
I'm really considering making a Planet of Junk diorama for my most of my movie figures, especially if I end up buying Junkyard. So this Spike could be used as Daniel in my set-up...
Yeah, I think there's a good chance this guy may end up in my collection.
*Edit
No, I won't be shocked if Hastak continues this line into the future and just throws in '86-'88 characters. But whether you like this Core class Spike or not, it's an example of what this line should be-- new molds of characters that have a significant association with the movie, that haven't been released in other lines.
But between Coronation SS, Ironhide, and Arcee, this obviously seems to be changing.
Imo, it's just not anywhere close to an ideal change or way to extend what has been a phenomenal subline.

There's always this guy, too.
As per using the Movie credits to fill the roster of this line...
Arblus, too then.

sol magnus wrote:Awesome job, Soundwave76. Truly.
AcademyofDrX, I think Legos work fine...but you will need a lot.
Well it can't be many, right? 2 or 3 is passable, and in Inferno's case we got him in Kingdom so at least the character is covered. But I think as long as they're listed in the credits they had something to do with the movie, most likely in deleted scenes, so they should get a movie figure.sol magnus wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:Seriously, Hasbro should just look at the TF:TM credits and use it as a checklist and not stop until all character names have been checked off. Even if some of them are just straight rereleases. CW Devastator in SS86 packaging, either as a set or 6 individual retail releases, much like the Bayverse version, anyone?AcademyofDrX wrote:I'm so excited that we got bailiff, prosecutor, and Kranix figures in the Pit collection, and I'll still be happy if that's all they they do. But yeah, if they really want to go all-out and exploit this line to its fullest potential, we should get each of them as proper deluxes. Rerelease the Allicons, too, get some more army builders going.
Related I will buy at least one of every Junkion redeco they make.
Some of the characters in the credits weren't even in the movie. Inferno, for one.

The amount of money I've spent on Legos is enough to put a down payment on a house. Which I need because I have so many Legos. Which I can't afford because I have so many Legos.
Not sure if I have the ideal right parts and colors for Cybertron or Junkion, but the sheer numbers are right.
Sowndwave76 wrote:Back to SS86, has it been suggested from any leaker that Ironhide will actually be a new mold?
Does anyone think this is a possibility considering Siege and ER were basically the same, and they've made use of that with Ironhide, Ratchet (including a SG version) and now the DK Guard?
Has Hastak made enough of that mold to justify a new one this soon?
I ask because I saw that this was discussed not that long ago on another site. Well, it was at least somewhat debated.

On Ironhide, my bet is another re-use of the ER mold with maybe one or 2 extras, like the shoulder launcher from Siege Ratchet and maybe some blast effects. Something to plug into his feet for van mode might not be out of the question either. The pricing on DK guard pretty much confirms that the mold on its own is a little bit past whatever Hasbro's internal pricing rules are for an independent Deluxe release.
It just seems odd that it would be a new Voyager mold so soon after ER, and be released as a store exclusive. I understand Ratchet could be the mainline release of a new voyager mold, but that isn't in the lineup for 2022, so I keep thinking it will be another ER use with extras.

chuckdawg1999 wrote:Bow down to the, bow down to the King! Motorhead cue aside I think I'd be more into this version if there was more new to the set. The throne is really, really nice, but I think they could've done more to ensure that Starscream could fit properly in it. The big draw of the set is the cape, crown, and shoulder pads to make Starscream look his regal best. They attach well and I have to say, the special shorter Null Rays work better overall than the larger versions that came with the Earthrise version. If the set was $5 or $10 cheaper I'd feel better about recommending it. As it is, if you're not a die-hard fan of King Starscream this is an easy pass.

Her name is Delilah Bijou but we often call her Purry Mason or Inspector Kitty because she ALWAYS is on the case.

Nice to know someone else read Star Wars: Legacy back in the day.

Sorry but I didn't. Could you explain the reference?
DeathReviews wrote:While it might be neat to have the extra accessories with Coronation Starscream, I already have the ER version, and I don't see it being worth the money or hassle to get a carbon copy. Plus, I also have the OTHER seekers using this mold (including the conehead exclusives which were HARD to find). That's essentially six copies of the same figure already, I don't want a 7th. My shelves are getting cluttered already with the figures, never mind giving them little chairs to sit in.
Sure the throne is good - but it ain't THAT good. As Chuck said, easy pass. More for the rest of you!
Also the command chair will look great with Megs and the seekers around him me thinks.
I won't lose sleep over not having Dirge and OG Ramjet, but I am still trying to get Thrust for a decent price. He's going for around $80 plus shipping on eBay and he's definitely not worth that.

Chuck said that both Siege and ER megs have trouble with the throne, owing to their huge backpacks made out of tank treads. Let us know if it works! Alas, unless they re-issue Thrust, his price is probably NOT going to go down anytime soon....
