I didn't think so based on the SS leaks I've seen.
Other than him, there's still a chance of an Optimus Prime, and Soundwave...
I'm not sure there's much more this subline can deliver.
Here's the thing, if they do in fact release an SS-86 Magnus, then everything released in Earthrise and Kingdom that could be used for SS-86 at the time is now fair game for a new SS-86 version. We thought SS-86 Starscream was a one-off to include the coronation accessories, but with Magnus too, it means, Cyclonus, Galvatron, Prime, Prowl etc... could ostensibly get an SS-86 release. And if they do do SS-86 commander Magnus, I'm willing to bet we'll get an SS-86 Prime based on the Magnus cab.
Heck it would not surprise me if they re-released Rodimus Prime in SS-86 packaging just for kicks.
So, there's still a fair bit this sub line can deliver.
I wouldn't assume new versions of any of those guys. Yes, we had Kingdom Magnus, but he was just a retool of the Siege figure and came up short in a few respects. Cyclonus and Galvatron were released alongside Scourge and the Sweeps, and unlike Magnus, were new molds consistent with SS86 design principles. We even got the damage-free Galvatron repaint in Legacy. Prime is obvious, Prowl is plausible, and I expect Springer too. Beyond that, I don't think any of the recent figures are slam dunks for updates.

You guys forgot SS86 Arcee and Ironhide.
I was ignored on this but I would still like a SS86 LEADER Megatron. The bot mode would be perfectly clean like his R.E.D figure, hiding all the tank threads and whatnots inside.
As for a SS86 Optimus, they should just "steal back" the undersised KO MP-10 and sell this as a Commander.
Till-all-R1 wrote:After seeing what the leader magnus consists of I honestly can't imagine why a Commander version is needed, other than to soak and extra $40 from the same character we've seen in the line countless time before. And most likely reusing existing version that previously sold for much less.
Maybe the trailer could be done better, but $40 worth?? Frankly it's a waste of a Commander slot IMO, and I'd rather see something more fitting go there. Heck, Bots like Jetfire are going to need a new Class if Leaders can become Commander with a very minor tooling addition. Though I guess they could just move him and the like to Titan Class. lol

Someone convince me why this version will or won’t have the traditional inner white Prime.

An SS86 Magnus will never EVER have the inner white "Prime". Because that character never appeared in the movie nor the cartoon.
So, I predict a SS86 UM to be like a downsized version of the MP sold at the Commander price point. That MP is relatively simple and look "Generations" enough.
william-james88 wrote:Also, of all the MP toys, Magnus needs an update the most. Just a coincidence.

Agreed… Which is why I never bought it. If he would’ve gone on sale for even $40 I probably would’ve caved, but it never happened.
But this was part of my whole point with UM being made at Commander class—
His most recent release wasn’t even that good.
This is clearly a case jist like CW Menasor;
Hastak has realized that ER Magnus missed the mark so badly that they want to give it another shot, & make sure it’s a solid, legit release.

Earthrise Magnus was compromised by being adapted from the Siege version, which made interesting choices in taking from two different two incarnations. As for comparing to CW, whether it's an improvement or not is a matter of taste, but it's very different. The CW figure is a modern update of the alt mode and has an IDW bot, while ER is heftier and more old-school G1. It's a perfectly respectable Leader class toy, though there are obvious improvements that Commander can bring, like a much bigger transport trailer that can actually fit vehicles.

, not Ultra Magnus.
Still, if it's "good enough" for the toy to be made...

... it still wouldn't be Ultra Magnus without the yellow eyes and blue face mask.

Emerje wrote:A rather unsettling but very Hasbro thought just entered my head. What if the Ultra Magnus cab doesn't change, but SS86 Optimus is compatible with the armor and they made a white Selects version that can be swapped for the cab that comes with the Commander figure? I wouldn't call that ideal at all, but it also wouldn't surprise me. Back when Masterpiece UM was announced some of us thought they might make a new UM cab bot that was identical to MP10 but transform differently to be compatible with the armor, but that obviously never happened, MP10 didn't even get a white repaint somehow (well, not until 2018 anyway).
