About making an SS86 Astrotrain that can change into a vehicle of the right size?
So that his... transport functions are movie accurate?
So you want a toy that can Transform into a bot the equivalent size of Megatron, but can form a space shuttle big enough for SS86 Devastator to fit in it as well as almost the entire Decepticon cast? Yeah...laws of physics called...quoting Scotty...
Hell yeah!
And to complete the set, a Megatron that is the normal size in bot mode, but he can transform into a gun that can be held normally by other Generations figure.
So, how to make such robots happen in real life?
Easy:

Hope people don't fall for buying them, Hasbro is going to be pumping this out regularly for the next 3 to 5 years and sporadically for the next 7 to 10. Anyone that wants one will have several opportunities to get one. Wouldn't surprise me if we see a second run of pre-orders within the next month.

Is releasing this every year for the next 3-5 years official word?
How do you know this?
I’m not doubting this could see a repack/rerelease, but as others have already mentioned, I’d think it would get repainted releases for a toy version, SG, Nemesis, and possibly a “dead” version sans trailer before this original was put out again…
Especially like I said because it’s a $90 figure. It would be one thing if this had a standard production run and the number of copies made was somewhat limited relative to the popularity of this character.
But if Hastak makes a ton available for this first run, I really could see its next releases being repaints.

Really don't have to look much further than Siege Jetfire from 2019 getting reissued year after year for proof. This is Optimus Prime, it's completely unthinkable that they aren't going to milk his regular release for years to come. Wouldn't surprise me if Rodimus Prime got a new run soon, too.

By the way, US Gamestop.com is now taking orders for SS CC OP.

Really?!? That blows my mind! I'm not overly fond of Rodimus Prime as a character but that toy is outright superb!

The Rodimus figure itself is pretty good. The subpar trailer makes the whole package a hard sell. Should've been sold as a leader instead of a commander. I might've paid $60 for it, but definitely not $90.Big Grim wrote:-Kanrabat- wrote:If I remember, Rodimus Prime is the worst selling Commander. Some stores still have a good inventory of him.
