Desperately fighting urge to say 'I told you so'

I'd buy MP Blaster and cassettes. I wouldn't buy Legends Blaster. Also, want Hoist. Not too sure about Trailbreaker. The joys of being skint.

No real reason why, just my guess.

Personally, I want an MP Armhorn. (Sounds like an add-on for the Constructicons. )

Back to the cassettes, what are the chances of Twincast being an exclusive, like Soundblaster was? For that matter, what about Rosanna?

I'd doubt Rosanna if only because we got no Decepticon Cassette redecoes

If I had to guess, I'd imagine that Ramhorn's Japanese name getting turned into "Amhorn" was case similar to how Metroplex got renamed as "Metroflex" in Japan.

The name "Ramhorn" written in Katakana is ラムホーン (Ramuhōn), whereas "Amhorn" in Katakana is アムホーン (Amuhōn). The difference between the two is ラムホーン beginning with a ラ (ra) and アムホーン with an ア (a). Perhaps someone in Japan got their wires crossed when "Ramhorn" was translated as ラムホーン, and then the ラ got misread as an ア, perhaps due to bad handwriting or something, and then the name stuck. Of course, this is just a theory.

Flipsides AKA best cassette. Plus flipsides and twincast are mentioned in MP roadrage's bio. Twincast and Flipsides are fugitive's; Flipsides a double agent and twincast believing her to be innocent. Roadrage is tasked with huting them down. From a strictly MP only lore perspective it would make sense that if MP twincast came out he'd come with Flipsides.

It wasn't all that long after Legends Megatron was released (which was often shown in official images with MP-10) that we got word of MP Megatron. And they announced MP Soundwave would be reissued not long after Legends Soundwave was released. I don't think they're very concerned about the lines bleeding together.

MP Soundblaster wasn't an exclusive. He, like the two G1 reissues, has always been a mass retail release.

As far as cassette distribution goes, the original Broadcast figure came with Steeljaw, so that seems like a safe bet. Blaster will probably come with either Eject or Rewind with the remainder being in a two pack with Ramhorn.

Rosanna? Don't we want Flip Sides? She's the one that came with e-Hobby Broadcast. I'd rather see Rosanna in a set with Sundor and Glit. Sundor himself is proof that e-Hobby doesn't matter since we've seen the character released at regular retail in Japan's Fall of Cybertron run (Hasbro called him Sunder).

I admit, I'm a complete sucker for Cassettecons. During that boom of colourful Rumble and Laserbeak KOs several years ago, I got dozens of differing variants in translucent and transparent coloured plastic. Red, dark blue, orange, all sorts. Because, like I said, I'm a sucker!

Gotta be honest, I think I am too -- if only because they keep being amazing! They strangely keep getting good in fiction -- Rewind and Ravage are amazing MTMTE characters, Ravage has been good outside of that, Ratbat became Decepticon leader in Marvel, Laserbeak being a symbol of Decepticon Leadership is just awesome, and Rumble of all bots got to be one of the most distinctive Decepticons in the G1 cartoon. Bit players you would expect them to be they are not.
And then a lot of the repaints are cool as well! Flip-sides has an intriguing anti-Counterpunch thing going on, and the Cobalt Sentries are just cool in every single way. I also love Squawktalk, Beastbox and their combined form for reasons - now THERE'S a character I'd love to see done right by Generations.
