If I didn't already spend 80$ on the g1 version this would be bought. I'll hold out for the possibility of goldbug/cliffjumper later down the line, probably as seperately numbered releases (though I would hope cliffjumper would be a significant retool into a squashed up porsche turbo along with a new head.)

so... anyone else wonder if he'll come with another exo suit? or just be by himself?
i think (simply based on BBTS's prices) that he'll be flying solo. their MP BB w/exo is $75, while their preorder for MP G2BB is $65 (and pictured solo anyways).

Would have preferred an Exosuit Spike figure over the jet pack, but at least he comes with the battle mask this time.
A Bug Bite, who knows, maybe at Tokyo Toy Show or even e-Hobby like the original?
A brighter yellow with the same metallic coating could still make for a convincing Goldbug. Just give him a new head without the face gimmick and an Exo-Spike and I won't care if the vehicle mode looks a lot like the others.

Thanks to fellow fan, Shajaki, we were directed to Amazon's listing for the upcoming Masterpiece MP-21G Bumble G2Ver. Back in the early 90's, Hasbro released Generation 2, which was a mix of repainted G1 molds, new and original molds, as well as a semi-cgi rehash of the original G1 series. Of those repainted G1 molds, Minicar Bumblebee was among the first to see release and he came along sporting a vacuum metalized (aka chrome) deco that made him all shiny, which you can see here.
TakaraTomy is homaging that G2 release with a metallic paint deco release of the MP-21 Bumblebee mold, with new accessories including a jetpack!
