To me goldbug is a repaint of bumblebee that has a blue head and some blue sections on him and has a face plate and also is the Cooler verison of bumblebee

Hi all.

To me it's not goldbug. Only a repaint of bumblebee. The G1 goldbug looks different in robotmode.

I do like the jetpack though.

Anyways guys, don't hate TT for maxing out their investment in the mold. Aside from the paint apps, Jetpack, remolded sigil, removal of the Exosuit and addition of the battlemask.this makes this Goldbug to them. If they added the back pack hood, maybe we can call him "the" Goldbug

People can use it for whatever they want, but its a perfect G2 BB. They went above and beyond with that molded G2 insignia. Sideswipe only had a sticker

As cool as this gold MP Bumblebee is, it should have come with another Goldbug head for added variety. Maybe a 3P can make a blue head, gun, and maybe even limbs. :-?

Then it would be a G2 bumblebee with a stupid blue head. That's not remotely close to what they're going for with this figure. Especially since the body is all bumblebee and not goldbug.

I can't wait to get this guy, 22-23 years later I still have my original G2 and am looking forward to putting them next to each other.

Not quite, as Hubcap has a different head and uses the Cliffjumper mold (which, for the record, is not a retool of Bumblebee):

A red MP Bumble would simply be "Bumble Red Version"

So, if the issue with Cliffjumper is one of licensing and deformation, I'll throw out a solution, however painful:

Release a retool of Bumblebee as an Audi TT. It looks reasonably close to an SD Porsche and it shares a chasis with the VW bug. It's certainly a better compromise than you'd get by making him a realistic Porsche.

It also comes in a model with a spoiler.

And we have had non-G1 MP releases, right?

The MPMs and soon to be Primal.

So you do a Masterpiece Cliffjumper as an Audi TT.

And you call it Masterpiece Binaltech Cliff. You cheat as close as you can to G1 in robot mode. Masterpiece engineering. But use the Audi TT as the vehicle.

That's pretty unlikely. The current MP's are going for cartoon accurate robot modes and realistic licensed (classic G1) alt modes. Your only hope for what described is another Binaltech/Alternity line. Though there is a Cliffjumper already in Alternity.

On some pictures there is a G2 logo on his chest and on one foot. Is it going to be like G2 Sideswipe where the logos are stickers and you can chose if you want the G1 or the G2 logo. I really prefer this golden version of him but I don't want any G2 logo in my collection...

I don't know for sure if there's a sticker sheet, but I did notice that all of the in-hand pictures have been without Autobot symbols of any kind. Seems pretty likely you'll be able to choose from a sheet.

I get so much more of a G1 vibe from this release compared to the previous. I think its the color scheme, ironic because he,s supposedly calling back to the G2 incarnation.

I'm just like you. I think hell fit better in my collection than the first release. Plus i really hated that exo-suit. Most collector i talked to said they bought him but don't display the suit and would have preferred if it had not been included.

The jetpack is a much better accessory imo.
