That is the perfect accessories to him. I was happy we were getting solid hands, never liked translucent ones, but great for those who want translucent that we can choose our own. I wonder if the hands can stay on for alt mode? Should be able to.

WOW, this is litetrally everything we wanted when we saw the prototype. The backpack is optional and can be configured differently. I dont midn the partformig one bit, since this is basically the G1 toy done as right as possible. Oh man, this is phenominal. The scale is great and most of all the price is geat. 175$ US BBTS? No thanks, as I predicted, you can get this guy for as low as 100$ plus shipping.

Joking aside, why have you used some second hand watermarked photos when there are clean versions just further up this thread?

I had more or less convinced myself into giving up on Masterpiece figures but both Hot Rod and Shockwave (I posted pics in both threads btw ) look lovely, so I may just carry on collecting!

Since the robot mode backpack is the barrel, (good call all who caught that), I wonder where the stock of the blaster is. Anybody else notice the tiny trigger? I wonder if that's for US safety laws. I'm not gonna lie, if they were going to parts form they should've stuck with a removable barrel.

Hi Chuck, it looks like the stock may actually be what forms the inner part of the lower legs that makes them thicker. Brilliant design!

This MP is PHENOMENAL! I haven't been this excited for a new Transformer in a LONG time.

Because we were slammed with news to catch up on, I'm at work, had already grabbed the posted images off Twitter, and was flurrying through the post before a meeting started;)

We're volunteer part-timers, so sometimes can be extremely thorough, other times just wanting to get the news out quick! Thanks for being kind-spirited about it though, and definitely be sure to use the Contact Form to shoot that kind of thing over to us, easily the best way to get our attention


My own quick comment (before another meeting!) is that this toy looks really great and I hope it's well put together. Nice pricing on it too, hope HLJ gets it up soon.

No worries bud, I just did a grab from elsewhere on the interweb and posted straight away before any other watermarked images had been fully revealed or posted on Seibertron. Guess I should have gone via the 'news link' but wanted to get them out there asap!

I would assume, if this guy gets KOed, it will be a long while, if at all when he would appear?
The MP Seekers never got done (on the cheap anyway), MP Optimus took almost two years to KO which ended poorly and no MP Soundwave either.
Either the moulds are too difficult to steal/copy or they are just too large to copy and get right?

Hell yah for Shockwave having light piping! That's a feature that I really miss in the Masterpiece figures. Light piping is one of the greatest features to accompany Transformers toys since G1.5/G2 (as long as it's not half assed done like Generations Waspinator and Rattrap where the back half of their head is translucent ... it needs to be done right like ol' Masterpiece Shockwave here). Love it!

Overall Shockwave looks fantastic. I could've gone for a shade or two darker purple (more G1 toy accurate and less cartoon accurate) and still feel like he should be a little taller. I'd have to look at the animation scale from G1 to see if Soundwave or Shockwave should be taller, but I feel like he should be taller than Soundwave.
