Sweet. Awesome that the sword stows away like it should. I wonder where the tiny hilt goes in vehicle mode though? Maybe it combines with the bigger one or something and I missed it. I just hope it's not an extraneous piece, that's the one thing I don't like about MPs, all the little extra pieces that don't store anywhere and thus end up put away in a box and never displayed.

Agreed. Also, with his generally simple transformation, he also seems to have been built to handle all that extended playtime, as opposed to say, MP Rodimus, which felt like I was handling some transformable porcelain pottery, all the time.

One regret and hopefully future improvement for Tomy to fix....MP Hotrodimus. I didn't strive to buy one because of the QC issues mentioned. Imagine his shoulder parts just splitting open at random?

The designers will most likely build around Star Saber. Add that with we don't know what the V-Star looks in the back as far as I know.

In Japan at least, that street date is more or less accurate barring delays (remember Wheeljack from end of July to mid September 2014?). For our foreign orders, unless it's FedEx, more or less extra two weeks and customs clearance......

Hmm, I wonder where that smaller hilt and blade go, When using the sword with Saber does that mean you remove the shield for accuracy? Seeing the back makes me concerned that the larger sword blade won't fit in all the way

Yeah. No. The fact that there are still people complaining about MP Star Saber is a testament to the entitlement complex of this fandom. My bets are still on those man children.

Whatevs. I've bought and paid for this figure already, but I laughed at the first comment. Yours seemed a bit over the top, though...and for what? Because he seemingly doesn't like the figure? Try dealing with idiots in forums everywhere complaining nonstop on why Star Saber is a new Masterpiece. From people saying it isn't G1 to thise who just wished it never existed there has been a sizeable outcry about this figure just about for every bit of praise and excitement this figure gets. It gets grating over time.

The first comment is just the tip of the iceberg when compared to some of the most petty whining I have seen in a fandom. Threads have had at least that "one guy" wherever this piece is mentioned and it isn't cute or clever, it is annoying.

i think hes an MP filler figure, why did he come out, instead of a jazz or retooled megatron.....or some new freaking dinobots!...........
i dont get this guys popularity at all. the color scheme is disgusting! and he looks cheap.

an easy pass for me...........id rather spend my money on some badass 3rd party figures! which i will since i cancelled my pre-order for this dissapointment of a figure.........the test shots i liked i wont lie. expect the forearms sucked! and still do, they look worse now in that paint job

Because he won the 30th Anniversary Fans Choice poll that had 20 leaders to choose from. And of those 20, Japan chose Star Saber.

I suggest you try sueing Takara for them daring to make a poll for their dedicated Japanese fans who helped create the market for Masterpiece figures.
Maybe that will show em.

cuz it does get uglier and with that crappy paint job, its makes it f'ugly!
and if u cant deal with the fact that ppl dont like this guy, u have issues or ur such a fanboy u would buy anything from takara or hasbro even if it was a turd with chrome paint job.........
