My Primax fanon ends after KISS Players, Trigger and The Battle of the Star Gate.

Meaning... it ends before season 3 begins?

I can't stop gushing over this figure. By only poring over all the great images I imagine I'll be transforming this guy a lot.
The ONLY THING that could make him better is if TakaraTomy planned for Victory Leo.
If Victory Saber happened my heart might stop. (I just hope Victory Leo isn't exclusive as only a boxed set for Victory Saber with Star Saber.)

Maybe a 3rd party will jump on Victory Leo

Speculation but I believe Tomy will have to build one.

I fear that some 3rd party is already planning a Victory Leo to go with this, knowing that since Takara won't be doing a Victory Leo soon enough people will be all over the third party one and jump on it before Takara even gets theirs off the ground.

I may have asked this before but what's up with the short sword blade? I assume it's for Saber but did saber ever use the sword in the show? I also just noticed something, are there two nosecones? I see a size difference between the nosecone used as a hilt, and the one Saber has as a shield and in jet mode.

The smaller sword blade and smaller nosecone are indeed meant to be the blade and hilt for a smaller sword for Saber to wield, while the bigger blade and bigger nosecone are the blade and hilt for the Saber Blade wielded by Star Saber in his "Battle Up!" form.

I'm kinda sad. First Masterpiece I have no desire to get (that isn't a repaint). Makes my wallet happy I guess. Probally because I known thing of this character and have no attachment whatsoever.

I'd like to see the results of a Hasbro MP fan poll.

Wouldn't happen since Masterpiece is Takara's baby. Hasbro doesn't make MPs. Only time they did was with the Masterpiece Offshoot Targetmaster that came with Hasbro's Rodimus, but that figure only vaguely resembled Firebolt at all, much less how he looked in the cartoon.

Well, the fans better make sure to get Starsaber sold out else there's no incentive to make one (V Leo)for Tomy.

This btw is addressed to all fans out there.........support the 1st party first fellas. Sure a few years wait would kill us but in the end, an official upgrade is better over a 3rd.

Supply and demand. Demand is for the 3rd party product. Hasbro/Takara have made clear they are not interested in producing figures of that detail level. Why should the consumer not support they 3rd party that is actually givng them what they want?

No. A real waste of an MP slot is the many repaints and remold I see from Hasbro and Takara now making up most of the Masterpiece line.

I would much rather get a new mold entirely than another repaint or slight retool.

This is for the Starsaber mold to ensure that there is an incentive for Tomy to make one. In the end, it's still the bottom line.........profit for the company which in turn makes us FANS happy. I thought you would have noticed my point in the last sentence.

And again, like in another thread in the United Warrior line, Tomy don't care what the gaijin market says hence they ditched AB. Star Saber in your opinion would be a waste of MP slot but he was born out of the "demand" of Japanese fans who actually buy stuff no matter how absurdly expensive.

There's the demand and Tomy answered with the "supply". Also, in this regard, this is a big risk for Tomy but the poll results would more or less offset the concerns of the investors.

The repaints fund the ability to get new molds, and most of the repaints (barring some of the Op stuff) have been taken directly from the original fiction, so I'm 100% OK with them.

When the article came out the other day with Hisashi Yuki, he did say that he couldn't proceed with Victory Leo until TT said so, but he never said anything about not being able to make Star Saber compatible for that down the road....
I'm so psyched for this- I've already sold my G1 version to make room, and I'm counting the days. Now if I just knew what the fate of Exhaust will be, and if my existing preorder will be cancelled or not... March is going to be a nail biter.

I agree differnt with other people but I be more wooried how to handle him with antnne looking fragile and flimsy as they are on his head cat walk knock him off shelf they may break off upon impact plastic or metal makes differnce comapred to mp megatron who breaks he falls,.

If I remember correctly, it was a listing of Autobot leaders from Fortress Maximus to present, excluding original Optimus Prime and Rodimus Prime, as they've been done, and he's hardly obscure, as he's insanely popular in Japan. And he's awesome.

Contrary to your singular belief that the world revolves around you, there are others who think otherwise. Especially the Japanese as seen in how they aced off A-B in theier Unite Warriors line.

Even the anime Headmasters onwards to Return of Convoy, the Japanese did it their way.

I almost wish they went with more painted surfaces, but I understand the reasoning and it's looking good. And accurate. Really excited for this one, it's a cool-looking figure with some really fun gimmicks, and I never got to play with G1 Star Saber. My preorder with Nippon-Yasan is already paid, I can't wait!

Its a great toy... but (and I say this from my own personal opinion) - its not a 'Transformer'. I tried to enjoy the Japanese only series, but it not really Transformers to me. Perhaps if I wasn't so much of a Geewunner, there would be a place for the post Rebirth stuff - but the Japanese Transformers series are all too much of a stark change from the American penned episodes. Plus theres the aesthetic issue - Mr Gundam has come to town and I'm not sure if hes a welcome guest for me

That said - he'd look cool with some Brave toys. I'm actually rather fond of Brave, ironically.
