True. But, in this case, is the origin of the name "Barithunder" (for either the Micron or the Gouraigers' motorcycles) yet known?

Apart from the paint on the face the rest of Takaras paint apps are kind of unnecessary. Give the Hasbro one the Takara face and I think he'd be the better offering.

I agree. especially the gun, no reason to paint that other than wanting to use more paint.

I prefer the version. I like it more and I'll give it some more paint apps on my own and/or Reprolables. I don't like the turquoise of the TT version regardless it's show accurate. The blue on 's looks so much better to me.

I kinda like the deco on the Legion figure better than either of those.

Well, I'll be d@mned, it almost actually does have more paint apps than the warrior version, I was honestly just using some humor from the UW thread, but you're right, boy, has hasbro really dropped their standards

I was mostly being sarcastic. I don't know if the Legion has more actual apps. Like most, I don't have the Warrior, so I can't actually say. My point was though that the Legion has a nice layout. The blue head with silver face looks better than the Has Warrior for sure. They even bothered to paint his tiny little eyes. And at least all of his wind shield/window panels are painted.
The Takara Warrior looks great. Not sure about the green shade, but the head look amazing. I think this your take too, but I'm just gonna get the Hasbro because I'm not really that interested in importing all these guys. All the Takara versions look better, of course, but I'm ok with the domestics. They are fun toys regardless, and more likely to go on sale, or be purchased with a coupon.

This is indeed my take too. These are fun toys regardless of the paint apps and I'd rather save my money for something I cant get in stores. Drift and Jazz though were figures I really did need to import.

Indeed. Battle Grim and Burrito Supreme Prime were well worth importing.

So then what was the point of bringing out the legion class into the discussion. It didnt prove anything, the warrior has more paint apps and proportionally so as well.

Though I dd just realize that The shoulders should be grey. Umm.... I might go with takara afterall...time will tell...

Factoring in the missing ones from the count, 13 aps on the Warrior vs 11 on the Legend doesn't seem all that proportionate to me.

I know you'll make the right decision. I don't even collect these figures as a rule, but had to have this guy in my collection just for the paint.

Do you want the Takara version because you like the grey shoulders better or because it's show accurate?
