Of course as usual I really like the colors on this Tak release better than the domestic. No surprise there.
I'm a little confused about the discrepancy over the different hands. I have the domestic release with closed hands. Last night I shaved the plastic out of the palms to do away with the stop, keeping her weapon handles from fitting all the way down in her hands. It was an easy fix with an Xacto knife that caused no damage to the toy, or the integrity of the plastic. I imagine if the Tak release has these stops the same remedy would apply.
Either version is really nice, and it's just great to finally have a good Arcee toy that fits into the CHUG universe. Energon scout Arcee has been returned to her proper shelf.

And that is comproved when a 'masculine' character like Brainstorm is shown in the same pose. Yes, I agree, it is systemic.
Actually...that was me who said that, Va'al. Guess all werewolves look alike to you, huh? Your so speciesist!
I'm a cryptospecieist, clearly.
They're same guns that came with the Hasbro version. Takara just colored them show-accurate for their release:fenrir72 wrote:Arcee's artbox shows she comes with two different gun molds? One pink and one black?
The domestic release have both weapons black. Would the pink and black deco be implemented in the Legends release?

Which means.the Legends versions will have a pink and black gun? ( In Yuki's pic, at the angle, I see the pink one) So the boxart and the contents are essentially the same?
Here's an official stock photo that shows Takara Arcee's smaller gun in gray:fenrir72 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:They're same guns that came with the Hasbro version. Whether or not you think there's some level of sexism/misogyny here, I would have expected the long absent Fembot figures to be treated with some caution. Arcee's pose isn't nearly as bad as the objectification of FlameWar and FlareUp, but given the potential for that perception, I had hoped they would have done something generic like Chromia's shot rather than potentially problematic silhouettes like Arcee's or scenes of the lady bots fawning over big strong Star Saber.
Not trying to ruffle feathers here, but I do think it's important for a predominantly male fandom to be conscious of these things.

This.
#GamerGate had a lot of legit issues which were quite similar to some issues raised by Rated X about the industry being too comfy with each other. The rest of the trash that followed was overkill. Let's leave it at that. As for people going out of their way to raise a legitimate counter to the issue raised about sexism, well you need to BACK UP your statements no?
I even raised the definition of "sexist". The pose in question when fitted with the term sexist really doesn't make sense at all.
Sexism can't be a one way street focused only at the female gender. Males too are objectified hence I also posted pics of several bad@ss male transformers all projecting their BFGs. That Megatron pose by Guido Guidi........so makes you want to submit to him and bow down. Got to hand it to the artist for rendering an awesome pose.
It is quite silly that we have gone to a point of being so ultra sensitive that anything must be so "controversial" that we have to think if I'm hurting someone.....is this kind of Orwellian already? Really, I didn't see the pose of Arcee making me want to turn females into submissive underdogs/servants/slaves etc. Nada....nothing.
I really don't see anything "sexual" in TFs. Just the never ending battle between good and evil. If you want sexual, go to regular canned live shows or reality garbage in network shows. You've got more than enough of those. In animation? Well you have anime, if those are your kicks.
It seems you can NEVER please a significant member of society......its gone to a point of being a Grievance Society.......no Industry. I'd bet someone in the gunless movement will protest against making MP Megatron as a propaganda tool for the NRA or selling toys like Legends "tank" Megatron as encouraging kids to go to war will get targetted by Code Pink and those Peaceniks.
It has spilled out to a point that the anti tobacco laws (which I support as it, tobacco KILLS people with Cancer) has caused legal issues with the sale of MP-Exhaust, which though already modified the "Malboor" logo is still an issue at selling it domestically).
It has come to a point of silliness. Peace.

Just saying, but if you read Megatronus' post more closely, he's not necessarily agreeing with you.

Yeah, you made your point very clear, that people have become too sensitive and PC about the alleged sexualization and objectification of female TF's. But his point is precisely that Hasbro or whoever's in charge of taking these pics should indeed be more careful in avoiding the objectification of the female characters. Isn't that the opposite of what you've been trying to say?fenrir72 wrote:So if let's say Strika was released, she's built like a tank and not too humanoid looking, heaven forbid another gender issue is raised. Totally agreed. Like I said, it's pretty tiresome when almost every thread about a fembot fig has to be tied to complaints of sexism. Granted, it's still not nearly as bad here as it is at tfw2005. Over there, even when the subject is Strika, people start posting things like, "Now THIS is how a fembot should look like! Twigs and supermodels like Arcee and Chromia are sexist and chauvinistic!" And then come the counter-posts and it all gets turned into a "femnazis vs chauvinist pigs" death match.
