Takara Tomy Transformers Legends Toyline Thread

Thank you for writing, and for your patience as we were waiting on an update from the manufacturer about these items.
Unfortunately, due to unexpectedly low production numbers of TKT81690, TKT81295, and TKT81296, we received a much smaller shipment of these items than we ordered. Orders are filled in exact chronological order, and we're afraid stock ran out before your order and the orders of some other customers could be filled.
We do not anticipate receiving additional stock, but are keeping your order on file as long as there is a chance a cancellation could fill your order. These items may become available for your order if other customers cancel their orders.
If all stock is allocated to other customers without being able to fill your order, our orders department will e-mail you to let you know.
In the meantime, if you would prefer to seek these items elsewhere, the My Account system (accessible by clicking "My Account" on the top right of pages on http://www.hlj.com) will allow you to cancel items anytime before they enter payment processing.
We’d like to sincerely apologize for this situation and any inconvenience and disappointment it may have caused. Thanks once again for your patience, and for your business with us!
was still able to preorder windblade and chromia through BBTS but Arcee i had to go to ebay for

To be fair, the deluxe figure is horrible and would have proven quite difficult to mod. However, the Legend figure is not too bad and she'll be cute as a button and in scale!
This will also be a challenge for me, to make a tiny weeny custom instead of making a voyager/ultra sized one.
Ah, but you forget that I've got a 3d printer.I'm not saying it'll be easy, but I could technically replace the problematic parts with custom designed ones.
Looking forward to it.

Don't use "-ko" and "-chan" together. They're both honorifics. "NAVI-chan" is already taken by the computers of both the Maximal ship Yukikaze in Beast Wars Second and the Maximal ship Gung Ho in Beast Wars Neo.SKYWARPED_128 wrote:Had I seen this, I'd have my very own custom NAVI-ko-chan on my desktop right now.![]()
As an aside, the Predacons of Beast Wars Neo also had a NAVI for their ship Dinosaur, DNAVI.

Thanks very much for the encouraging words, fen, but everything hinges on me actually finding an Airachnid figure for cheap. Cuz I sure as hell ain't paying evilbay prices for that thing.

I see. I sort of took it that NAVI-ko was like a traditional Japanese name for girls, as in Setsuko or Kyoko, where the kanji character "ko" (meaning child) is popularly used in combination with other kanji characters to form girl's names.

Aside from encouragement for that customs you plan to build, really hope Tomy can turn this into reality.

I'd love to see that myself, as long as it's an original mold or at least a heavily modified version of Airachnid to fix the problems on that awful toy.

It's that simple."
Takara Chyromia's colors clash horribly. those purple parts are just wrong, so Hasbro all the way.
Takara Windblade is the superior one. More red and a better facepaint. However, I already have the hasbro so I not paying 40$ for her.
Beside, even if I wanted the Takaras, I'd be screwed anyway.
Speaking of fembots, I odered CC Splitstream from Chimumg for only 60$ shipped!

To be perfectly honest, it's disheartening. I haven't enjoyed collecting as of late due to dislike of a lot of figures and poor distribution into my area. So I relied a lot on Japanese releases. Now it seems I can't even do that.
Oh sure ... get them from America. That's an option, but with a poor Australian dollar it's not exactly affordable either.

He's in Malaysia. So, shipping is an issue.

Tell me about it. The Canadian $ does not fare better either. Around 75¢CAn for every US$. Add shipping, still in US$ and a possible hefty custom fee, and you can buy way less than you used to be.
I ordered Hasbro Arcee and Chromia from BBTS because I'm losing hope to ever see them live in store. Also, the girls are sold out everywhere, even the Hasbro ones! So, I had to bite the bullet and pay almost 35$CAN total each figures. Maybe more if the custom guys feel like dicks.
Sigh... At least, I don't have to pay for oversea shipping so that's that.

First impressions as the Hasbro set never showed up here is that, well they're beautiful! Tomy really love their paints. From Arcee, Chromia and Windblade.
As for the concerns over the "lipstick" apps, well no worries fellas. They look good. Especially Chromia's "Joker" smile. To tell you the truth, it's these high definintion/resolution cams that blows the images too detailed wise. Our eyes are not meant to such details. Using your normal eyes, the lipstick smile is just right.

Chromia is just as good. For a retool, another homerun! Windblade's face paint that followed the IDW design.......really enhances her beauty. And yup, her jet mode is indeed a bit flaky so I keep her in 'bot mode. My Hasbro version (which I purchased back in September 2014) covers that part at being in vehicle form.
I wish that the Hasbro version of Arcee and Chromia do show up later locally at TRU. Those I'll keep in vehicle mode.
On Arcee, looking closely, she kind of looks like this when in Tomy's clors

Maybe it came from one and the same designer?

Oh, I love the pic! I'm just waxing nostalgic for the days, long past (like 3 ago!) when Alpha Bravo was the pinnacle of all to strive for around here. #SadViolinPlaying
